Erek was, honestly, still coming to grips with everything. Certainly, he'd taken to it like a fish to water- but it didn't change the fact that it was a tremendous amount of information to take in all at once. If Mei had not been so patient with him, he was almost certain that he would have suffered tremendously at the hands of no one bothering with offering him assistance beyond the basics- and having to teach himself everything from scratch. Could he have managed it? Of course. Would it have been anywhere near as effective or fast? Not a chance.
Talking with her, and searching around on his own had become far more effective- and had brought a certain subject to his eyes. Apparently, there were humans that could manifest these "Spiritual Powers" that were not Quincy at all. Though they were much rarer, they did exist- usually, they were called "Spiritualists". When he broached curiosity on the matter, he was given information on them to study, but he was also tipped off that asking one directly could be a far more efficient usage of his time. With this in mind, he had been told to seek out a man that had apparently been lingering around Karakura frequently, "Raphael", or something similar- apparently, he'd been trying to prove himself to the Quincy frequently.
If that was so, then he would likely have no issue talking with him as a Knight of the Order, a possible ally, as well as a source of information was always welcome. Due to this, he was walking through Karakara- partially aimlessly, in search of anything that could lead him to the man, he had a basic description of the man but that was about it. The order had told him the area's he seemed to frequent, and told him the rest was basically down to luck; certainly not that hard to miss considering due to Erek's lack of any spiritual control his soul was a clear beacon. He'd need to fix that as well- he was basically advertising himself to any Hollow that appeared.
But, in this case, it should make it clear that he was around, and if the man was trying to get on the good side of the Order, it made sense he would come poke his nose out when he detected a Quincy in his general vicinity. This sensory ability these spiritual beings had was quite useful, it was effectively like having built-in sonar from what he could tell, the amount of use it could have on a battlefield was pretty damn potent. Though then again, against the countless other abilities that were at their disposal, he supposed that was the least flashy. It was still undeniably useful, however.
Stepping onto one of the many streets of the town, he would allow his gaze to curiously look over the signs of the local bar's, perhaps taking a short break would be worth his time? It was hard to say- moving around would cover the most area, but it could also put the man off making him think he was on duty. Perhaps taking a short break and settling his energy signature for the man to detect would be more efficient? He wished he had a location to go to in order to meet the man, but either the man in the information section had been more clueless than most- or he simply hadn't bothered to look it up for him wanting him out of his hair as quickly as possible.
Either way, it didn't change the fact he didn't have an exact location to just go to in order to meet the man. He'd just have to do his best and wait to see if luck was on his side- usually, it was a fifty-fifty chance of things going his way, or getting completely fucked. He was used to it at this point in his life.
