Of all the things that she had faced in the years she had been working with the Gotei, today was by far one of the few times she found herself terrified outside of the line of duty. She had apparently been called into Victoria's office. The Wolf of the Fifth. They had met briefly at the feast she had held, but that didn't really disprove or prove any of the rumors about her. Admittedly, Hanako was worried. She didn't know if she'd accidentally broken a rule of the division or not. Admittedly, she had no real power to punish her, but it was still worrying to be sent to someone who had spent such a long time in the division.
Still, she knew that she couldn't just ignore the call. Still, she very well could put it off. And she had definitely done as such throughout the day. From going on routine patrols, to even a short bit of work out in the realm of the living, Hanako had done her very best to try and put off this meeting. Unfortunately, she had finally run out of things to do, and couldn't make an excuse that would get her out of going to this meeting, considering that it was only dusk and considering that she'd likely have gotten more and more calls until she finally cracked, or until Victoria sought her out herself.
With that in mind, she actually had taken a good amount of time to find her office. Not out of the inherent anxiety that came with the thought of being called directly to Victoria's office, but out of the fact that..well..she had never actually BEEN in this area of the Fifth. She'd never really entered the offices of the seated officers. It had taken a few attempts for her to find the proper area, having opened three of the five offices before she finally was down to the last one. One of them just wouldn't open for some reason, or she would have very well tried that as well.
Of course, instead of just barging into Victoria's office, Hanako quite literally swallowed her fear before taking a deep breath, and knocking on the frame of the door, as it was the only part of the door that actually could be knocked on. "Y..you called for me?" She asked, just loudly enough to be heard over whatever Victoria would have been doing.
She really didn't want to be here. She felt like prey before a wolf, through no fault of Victoria's own. Her reputation simply preceded her, and actively worried the younger Shinigami. Well, it was time to see where all of that led. The moment Victoria responded, she would walk into her office and find a place to sit and see what she was wanted for.
