Shinku turned towards the young female Quincy first, nodding as Sasha explained the reasoning behind her own motives for destroying the Hollow. It made sense, of course. She then, in turn, directed her focus to the other Quincy who was still hiding behind the mask. Part of her wanted to ask why it was that he was hiding his face, but another part of her knew that it was probably something personal and none of her business. Everyone had the right to keep their secrets safe, and she certainly was not going to jeopardize that simply to satisfy her own curiosity. But there was some specific word choice with all this that she was picking up from both of them, and that was far more important than how the one Quincy actually looked.
“You use specific words when mentioning the killing of my kind from Shinigami. ‘Let us Move On’, ‘Soul Recycling’, ‘Purify’… all of these indicate that somehow, they aren’t actually killing us when they strike us down, but I have never heard of any soul claiming that they had once been a Hollow in all my time alive, so the ‘vague’ aspects has me wondering if that is truly what they are doing at all.” She would have to do more investigation on this subject, because there was simply too much she didn’t know. Her claws of the front arms were folded over each other, covering the hole that would have been her belly button if the semblance of a human form upper body was enough to call it that.
“As to why I limit my prey, it simply comes down to understanding a logical chain of events. With few exceptions, not a single one of the races or factions will bat an eye if a Beastial Hollow was killed by someone aside themselves, most simply considering it good luck. Inversely, if I were to kill a Death God, Quincy, Empowered Human or even a Plus Soul, eventually someone would figure it out and see it either as their duty or calling to hunt down the one responsible. This would increase the risk to me and my Legion exponentially, and I can easily survive on the first option, so why invite extra danger to almost no added benefit?” She gave a pause, and realized she hadn’t told the entire truth behind the matter either.
“Aside that, you cannot learn from the Dead, and I am one who prizes knowledge.” It was a blatant truth, and even through the deep, bug-like chittering that echoed off her words and made it sound very alien, there was also a very human tone underneath it that echoed the feeling of honesty that she was trying to portray. A single Okami came up behind her, sliding next to the Queen where she gently allowed one clawed ‘hand’ to stray and stroke the carapace gently near what would have been its neck. The tiger-sized creature gave a low, deep growl that could have been mistaken for a weird, alien-like purr to the two that were with them.
