The sky was still a crispy blue when she emerged from the subway. Sunrays were reflected and magnified by a couple of skyscrapers that watched over the capital. Taking the sunglasses she had placed on her head she covered her eyes and turned the world a shade darker. That’s better, she thought to herself while fixing her hair so it wouldn’t stick out after having been gently ruffled by the sunglasses.
Adjusting the little purse hanging over her shoulder, she took a look on her phone before starting to walk toward the first pair of stoplights. The Spanish bar they had agreed on to meet was just around the corner, and she was pretty sure that she would be only two minutes late. Well, perhaps three.
The pale demine nicely hugged her tights, she checked herself out in a nearby window while waiting for the light to jump on green. A simple black T-shirt that fit her despite being pale, pastel green Allstars. Nothing out of the ordinary, cosy, clean, and easy to run in (should that be required). Not that she thought to run from Otto, the getting away part had mostly to do with potential Hollow.
Tik
Or whatever the sound was, got her attention and she moved across the broad road. People were hurrying as they always did. Tokyo really never stopped moving. Once she had thought the stories to be exaggerated, but they appeared to be quite close to the reality of this Asian metropolis.
Almost bumping into a woman with a small suitcase, Sasha offered her an apologetic smile before continuing her journey. No smile had been received back, and she felt a bit offended. Couldn’t people be a bit more friendly from time to time? Feeling the frown coming she took a deep breath and willed her forehead to stay without creases. Those were bad. She really had to keep on reminding herself about it.
“Hey!” the last bits of sourness faded from her face when she got Otto in sight. The tall Scandinavian looked as smooth as he had the last time, she tried not to check him out. Politely smiling as she came closer she kept on debating whether to give him a hand.. a brief hug or a kiss on the cheek.
What were the Scandinavian- ??
She didn’t have the time, stopping in front of him, Sasha ended up doing some awkward gesture as if presenting a car to a buyer behind her. “There you are.” The soft laugh which followed was a genuine one. Of course it was directed at her own silliness, but he didn’t have to know.
“It’s nice to see you again. I hope that you’ve settled in without too much trouble?”
