The afternoon sun hung high in the sky; hot and humid was Karakura town. The sounds of the cicadas filled the air with their cries as hum of passing vehicles and chattering of humans. Life in the city looked to flourish despite nature’s attempt to burden the world with its summer heat. It seemed that even the dreadful heat was keeping the supernatural away. Hollow activity looked as if to have lulled. Perhaps it was the increase of shinigami patrols that were keeping them at bay, it was hard to tell.
Tsubakidai Park was filled with families and their children, lovers, and people just out for a simple stroll. Everyone seemed to be out and about enjoying their time, simply unaware of what was happening around them. The spiritually inept failed to see the air rippling around the stone fountain; slowly the air began to turn black and suddenly rip open like a cheap piece of fabric. From depths unknown, two small hands reached out, grasping either side of the portal, pulling out a small humanoid creature - a hollow. Knight stepped through the portal, hitting the ground softly. The small hollow was fresh from the world of Hueco Mundo, finally recovered from wounds delivered to him from that vile dark haired shinigami. Now he was ready to take on the human world once again with renewed vigor and a hunger that couldn’t be stopped.
Already the hollow could feel the oppressive sun beating down on his skin, something welcomed to him in the world of the living. Knight could sense all the souls around him, seeing the happy smiles of those that walked before him. This was now his hunting grounds and he was ready to be the master of this domain once again. Pain panged his stomach as the sounds of a familiar growl reached his ears - it was time to feast once again. Immediately, the hollow knew not to draw attention to himself. He’d have to find some lowly soul off on their own and strike them while they were unaware.
A soft chuckle echoed, emitting from within the little hollow’s mask. Gleefully, Knight set out leaving the fountain, heading to the treeline of the park in search of some place quiet to seek out his prey. Once there, he simply disappeared among the treeline, hiding amongst the bushes as he sought out a soul to prey upon. It didn’t take long for him to find one; this own was different than the others. This soul was stronger than the rest. Knight was salivating already as he drew close. To his surprise, it was a young woman whose spiritual signature was equal to his own. This one would be a challenge, but he was always up for a good fight, that is if this wasn’t just another ordinary human. “Hello.” His voices echoed together playfully, thinking that this was just another human that couldn’t see or hear him as he emerged from dense foliage. “Time… for fun.” Knight’s voice came off in a playful tune as his excitement played on his voice.
