Natalie had arrived the night before and stayed at her Bar in Berlin. She had to go to the extra lengths to not drink too… she was supposed to meet some sort of royalty, and she couldn’t have a hangover. G.I. Joe had been kind enough to pull the stick out of his ass and get her a little meet and greet with someone who was a ‘Quincy Queen’ who might have known her father. She still was having a hard time with that concept… her Dad had been a Quincy. Still, after everything Erek had explained, the pieces of the puzzle were slamming together rapidly, showing that what he was saying was either way too much of a coincidence to be funny, or completely true. She had known Erek for years; he wouldn’t lie to her like that. Not after all the bullshit they had been through.
So, here she was, driving a rental car through the winding German roads, having entirely too much fun on the Autobahn, and generally just enjoying herself before the meeting. Normally, she would have been a bit late, but this was important, and as much as Natalie liked goofing off, she could also be serious when she needed to. When it was something that was worth getting serious over. Like her father… the man she idiolized and was told that she was the one who killed. Self defense… like her dad could have ever actually wanted to hurt her. It was whatever it was that was invisible that day… that unseen force that had strangled her, ripped the gun from her hands and shot her father to death with it. She would find out what… or who… it had been, and she would make him pay in blood, several times over, for taking him from her. The thought put a wicked smile on her face as she pushed the BMW even faster, zipping through traffic along the small road that lead up to the castle.
Who the fuck lived in a god damn castle anymore? I mean, sure, it had all sorts of cool stuff about it… but as far as actual structural integrity, she could take out the whole damn thing with like… four C4 charges. Now, if it was a modern castle, one where they took it, gutted it, and made it modern, then that she could appreciate. Never one for history, Natalie only looked forward, and right now, her sights were set on a woman who was the ‘Queen’. Granted, she knew that she was also going to have to tone down her tongue a bit… being disrespectful might not only keep her from getting the information she wanted, but could wind up getting her killed if she wasn’t careful. A ‘Queen’ likely was going to have guards, and as she was so painfully aware of now, she was not nearly as strong as some of the beings out there. She did have her pistols with her, but she didn’t go anywhere without them, and on her wrists, dangling from Tungsten Bracelets, were her father’s Dog Tags, where she knew he ability came from.
Pew Pew was the last resort though.
Pulling up to the gate, she slowed to a stop, and even though she wasn’t a big fan of castles, she was impressed with the sheer physical size of the place. It was massive! She wasn’t sure what to do from here though. Was someone supposed to come out and meet her? Escort her inside? What was she supposed to do with her sweet ride? Leave it here all alone and unguarded?
