Roughly two weeks after leaving Berlin and arriving back in Japan after his clash with Freyleif, Erek was currently residing in Tokyo once more-- he still had his apartment there and though he was transferring shortly he still wanted to let Mei and a few others that resided here know that he was going to be leaving for a time.
However, there was an issue that Erek had discovered after his arrival. For the past few weeks, someone had been laying out some form of bait, or released some sort of power, to rapidly attract the attention of nearby Hollow-- they had come forth in hordes, and to say that it had become a slight issue was an outright lie. Hollow normally didn't bother attacking unaware humans-- but if enough of the beasts got together and began to feast on one another as much as they would a plus. To make matters worse, even if they didn't eat the humans they did destroy the environment around them and humans would get caught in the crossfire, for now, there had been no major casualties-- some destroyed buildings, a few injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
But they were escalating each time-- and each time it had been on a Sunday. Erek was tired of it-- he, technically, was no longer stationed in Tokyo-- his request for a temporary transfer to London to deal with his clan having been approved by the Order. But he still lingered here-- because of this incident and a few more that he needed to take care of. It was due to this, that Erek was currently standing at the top of a large building where his line of sight was clear, and his sensory could expand as far as possible as he reached out with his spiritual control in search of the signal that he had little doubt would appear while keeping his own energy suppressed to attract as little attention as possible.
He was patient, reading a book quietly as he rested his boots at the edge of the stone-- enjoying the breeze of the wind pushing the night air through his hair and ruffling the pages he occasionally turned. This patience was rewarded-- two hours into his wait, he felt the shift-- a slight ping initially, one that rapidly expanded into a beacon of false energy. Hollow bait, something that any Quincy would recognize after a bit of training-- and even though he was new to it all, relatively speaking, he also knew he'd achieved more in his short time gaining powers than most did in years. He had no doubt-- the energy was what had been causing the incidents.
Snapping the book shut, he slowly hauled himself up to his feet and straightened his jacket briefly, tucking the book away into his coats inner pocket-- before he disappeared into a blurring Hirenkyaku. Flashing along the air smoothly as he rode the reishi in the air-- his eyes flickered downward as he spotted the pulsing light, and then noticed that it was large-- quite large in fact. Far more than was required for anything a normal Quincy would need for training-- and even if they were using it for such you used it in the forest, away from civilization-- not in the fucking center of Tokyo.
His eyes shot along the darkness-- and his senses told him the rifts were already forming as the Hollow shredded the air open, pouring into the area, drawn by the scent of the baits energy-- he reached out with more focus, who did this? What idiot or villain was causing it?
The answer appeared quickly, Erek's eyes honing in on the shape of a single individual-- and his reiatsu was clearly that of a Quincy's, stronger than most, but barely contained, wavering in the darkness light a beacon as Erek sucked his teeth-- so a young fool more likely than a villain. The reishi around his feet shifted, his body aiming downward before he flashed forward-- the amount of Hollow were increasing by the moment, a handful appearing would have been something he could possibly overlook, wait until he was done and then come down and reprimand him.
However-- with this many-- he wasn't entirely sure the boy could handle it. Better to intervene now, as more and more rifts continued to open the area-- Hollow flooding the area as their cries echoed around him.
