Shinku was sick and tired of constantly being on the run. Chased because of who she was, no… what she was. Certainly, she was a Hollow, and the vast majority of her kind was beyond any hope of redemption, something easily understood and practiced in her own method of hunting. But what of the exceptions? Was no one capable of understanding that she was more than just a simple mindless beast, preying on the weak and devouring souls without discretion? From what she could see thus far, even moving away from Karakura Town and Tokyo seemed unable to allow her to have any sort of respite. The only thing she could say positively now was that she knew she was in England somewhere now, and she was also a short distance outside of London somewhere. She needed to get proper bearings and make her way to the main land, where she could travel and find a place where she could reside.
Shinku had seen a map of the entirety of Europe and knew that there were a few places where she could establish a home in a short amount of time with little outside interference, and as it stood now, she was thinking somewhere south where it was typically warmer and less populated. Italy was too crowded, but Romania was typically humid and warm for most of the year, and sounded ideal in her mind’s eye. But the first major part of all that was getting across, which meant she needed to find a ship to carry her. While she certainly could swim, she knew that her Hanta escorts could not. Six in total, it was what she managed to muster before moving away from where she had done battle with the Quincy that she had run into on first arriving. That had been an interesting interaction, including the bit where he used cards that were throwing instead of arrows, but she had been thankful that he hadn’t been as strong as Erek or she wouldn’t be standing now.
Shinku stuck close to the sea, moving at a relatively quick pace along the beach, bother herself and the Hanta easily traversing the more rough terrain as they went and passing by many beaches in search of a dock where there would be ships. She would need to remain nearby to ensure that she was going to one that would take her towards the mainland in Europe, but she was certain that there were many there. She just needed to find a port somewhere, and if she followed the beaches and other shorelines as far as she could go, she knew she would be able to find one somewhere along the line. Her senses were on fire, searching actively for spiritual pressures that were worth looking out for, as she wasn’t about to be caught unaware like what had happened with the boy and his vehicle when she had arrived. Avoiding the main roads was pretty easy most of the time, but there was several roads that actually edged the shore and sheer cliffs, which she sped across as quickly as possible, trying to avoid being seen again.
Still, there were several times where she felt spiritual pressures nearby, and running into one of them during her trek was likely going to be unavoidable.
