Well, the fight with Rosa Florecio was not easy for Chie to begin with, Rosa basically just needed to whisper in Chie's ear to have her play into her hands easily, all it took was wavering Chie's desires, her fury in front of her. Rosa tricked Chie into falling into despair so deep that Chie was no longer able to put up a fight as she wasted everything on that fight with Cressida. At the climax, Rosa began to take over Chie however getting pierced through the heart was an unexpected bonus.
In Chie's fleeting moment, despite wanting to die, her inner hollow has another agenda for her as it hollowfied Chie in the furnace. Escaping the furnace, Chie died but from her a Phoenix came flying out but couldn't properly see as it slammed into walls, before crashing face first on the concrete floor breaking the mask, and from the wreckage came Phoenix.
The Next Chapter
First off, my goal is to save the hollow race by making it relevant again. In two months, when I get my full gp back, Be afraid. Be very, afraid.
Another thing is during the course of exploring her character, Phoenix will be in conflict with Chie. By this I mean the Shinigami still is within her subconscious in the fragments of the broken mind. Phoenix will basically have to deal with her like Sasaki did with Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul re.
Thirdly, I want to explore what killed Chie in the first place, her desire for redemption. It was never made clear who Chie wanted to redeem herself too, that struggle led her to do some crazy stuff.
Also my plans involve bringing down the Quincy Order, the Gotei five, and the KSN with a brutal plot.
Lastly the reason I had killed off Chie and brought Phoenix in (that's how I basically see it, as a moment where one character basically turns into another) is to just cut loose and go back to my roots as a writer. A carefree Bachelorette with a dark side. Basically at the end of Das Ende Das Morgentaus she'd be singing "Let it go."
