An ashy tongue parted thin lips behind the young hollow's mask as he eyes up his prey. For days now, countless hollow had crowded the bone white castle. In those days Cayo had eaten well. It was hard to say how long he'd been free now but the feast was doing a lot to sharpen his mind. Mirrors shimmered into and out of existence in mere moments, only present in any location long enough for the prey to slip through and into his waiting maw. The poor soul he'd most recently set his sights on was a little eight legged thing that skittered through the sands away from his location. Perhaps it had come across the remnants of one of his earlier hunts?
From his perch atop on of the few trees that were anywhere close to the castle, the child could just make out the shine of his mirror coming into existence. His hiding place wasn't ideal but it was far enough out that the hoards of hollow around the castle paid him little mind. A flare of his malice into the air sent the prey right into the glassy surface of his tool and he could instantly feel it begin to squirm inside of his reflection. The other beast's grizzly head rose slowly out of a mirror the ginger hollow conjured beneath the palm of his hand. Its expression was one of fear and anger, its broken mind trying to spit words of some kind or another at the boy. As the neck became visible thin, razor like fingers ran their way around the soft flesh until a skeletal hand came around to firmly grip it and severed the head from the body.
Whatever kind of cry it'd been about to utter was cut short, almost to the point of nonexistence. A gurgle was all that could be heard as Cayo began to peel away the fleshiest morsels of the head. The meat was deliciously fresh as it slid down his throat and into his gullet, though it still irked him that it did little to sate the tides of his hunger. Leaving little more than the hair on the scalp clinging to the skull, the head was tossed aside. With a slightly muffled boom of static the hollow was once again in the embrace of the tree's branches. The ability to move quickly had proven useful and was something the child valued, though his ability to use it without the telltale screech of static was still lacking.
Finally sat someplace he felt comfortable, the hollow conjured another panel. This one was big enough to fit the rest of his latest prey's body through. He was after the torso this time and as such the limbs were tossed back into the mirror like fisherman's catch that was seen as too small. The small, nimble fingers made quick work of the eight legs and two arms so it wasn't long before he found himself face to face with a sight that made his mouth water.
Hefting the torso into his lap, careful not to pitch himself over the branches edge, the child set into his meal.
