Miné
Spiritual Diplomat
[ Current Body ]
Apparent Age: 21
Gender: Female
Height & Weight: 5'8" & 148 lbs
Hair & Eye Color: Grey & Gray
Positive Traits: Calm, Unshakable, Kind, Friendly
Negative Traits: Pacifist, Soft-Hearted, Idealistic
Loyalties: None; Miné is distinctly neutral in most matters, seeking only the end goal of peace.
Snapshots:
One Year Prior to the Culling: Kūkai creates the mod-soul, Miné, to serve as an intermediary between the Shinigami and the Quincy
One Week Prior to the Culling: Talks break down, the building Miné is in is destroyed, and her current body along with it.
Two Years Prior to First Post: Through pure coincidence, a young woman perishes not far from the site of the failed talks, and the mod soul ends up in her body sometime during decomposition.
Five Seconds Prior to First Post: The mod soul's regeneration abilities finish reconstructing the body now containing her, and Miné awakens in the middle of the woods near Karakura Town.
[ ON THE SURFACE ]
Physical Description: Despite being rebuilt from a corpse, the body that Miné’s constructed for herself is actually somewhat attractive. The female body has ash gray hair flowing freely past grey eyes and olive skin until it ends just above the knees. Miné’s clothing preference is generally simple earth tone clothes, though she is not opposed to dressing for formal occasions if it is required. The young woman’s nationality is unclear, and while there are distinctly Asian features, her hair, skin, and height blatantly throw that assumption out the window. When she speak with someone that has higher reiatsu, her mouth opens slightly but does not appear to actually move, which probably would strike most as decidedly odd.
Spiritual Description: Like cherry blossoms gently floating down a stream, or afternoon tea with a good friend, Miné's presence feels peaceful and calming. All creatures, intelligent or not, spiritual or not, feel less prone to violence and aggression within her aura. When she actively utilizing her abilities, reiatsu appears to flow directly from her feet in off-white concentric circles. As a mod soul, her spiritual form consists of a small spherical orb of densely packed reiatsu.
[ INSIDE THE ORB ]
Personality: Having been out of the world for the a few centuries, much has changed since Miné last walked the Earth, and while certain basics haven't changed, there have been advancements in the spiritual and mortal world. Initially, this might appears as a certain level of naïveté, but ignorance should not be confused for idiocy. She will grasp concepts with astounding speed, and has a particular affinity for social sciences. The consummate mediator, Miné is generally soft spoken, ready to listen, and takes the time to give measured responses. As far as she is concerned, she is a friend to all things that exist; and she wants to stop conflicts between her friends. She believes that peace and an equitable solution is always possible, and will aim to halt or, if halting is impossible, flee any combat.
Goals & Achievements: Not only does Miné not have any notable accomplishments to her name, she has not yet learned the extent of the previous breakdown of negotiations and the resultant culling of the Quincy. Now that she has regenerated a body for herself, she aims to find what conflicts trouble the spiritual world, and act as a mediator if possible.
[ KEEPER OF THE PEACE]
Weapon of Choice: None
Power: Ease of communication in order to mediate peace between others, dull aggressive emotions.
[ LEGACY CREATED ]
Origin: Miné was a mod soul created by Kūkai, a well respected and powerful spiritualist, who foresaw a great war coming between the Quincy and the Shinigami. Well respected by both groups, he developed a mod soul that would put others at ease, in order to serve as a negotiator between the two factions on the brink of war. Put into a body pilfered from a nearby graveyard, the reiatsu in the mod soul spent a few days regenerating the body back to working condition. After mediating several dozen mortal disputes, ranging from a few petty grievances, to a territorial conflict between two provincial governors. After introducing Miné to both the Quincy and Shinigami as a third party negotiator, the two factions accepted the young lady to serve as an arbiter.
Rise to Power: Things were starting to look up on the third day of negotiations between the Quincy and the Shinigami. As she had previously, Miné served as the arbiter for the discussion between the two small groups of representatives. Far from the single issue of the cycle of rebirth, there were numerous grievances that had to be worked out. However, they were being worked out, slowly, but surely. With Miné's abilities keeping tempers from getting out of control, they were working towards an agreement. When they were within arm's grasp of an accord, the building was utterly destroyed along with all the inhabitants. Miné's body was practically vaporized as well, and the mod soul was forgotten as the massacre began a few days later.
Call to Action: Miné made her best effort to rebuild her original body from the decomposing flesh of a corpse in the woods outside Karakura Town. Emerging from a ditch covered in dead leaves where the previous owner of the body had fallen, Miné was vaguely aware of how much time had passed. While she had an interest in finding out what had happened after her initial destruction a few centuries ago, she doubted any beings she had reasonable access to could tell her. She was sure that the attack on the negotiations would have lead to a complete breakdown of any chance of peace, and the Quincy and Shinigami would have gone to war. She would try to re-establish a contact network and find out where her services would be the most useful. For now though, she wanted to find clothes and a shower.
