The night was long as a cold chill settled over the city. For hours Leo had been searching the city for any sight of these elusive ‘jellyfish’ that Sasha had been so adamant about finding. After their little meeting at the museum, the quincy had went home and prepared for the evening that awaited them. Searching out on his own for a bit didn’t seem to produce any sort of results so he had went ahead and called Sasha to meet up.
Leon’s breath hung heavy in the air as the night’s chill clung to his skin. He drew his jacket close, breathing into his hands in attempt to warm them up, rubbing them together. “God, couldn’t we have done this in warmer weather?” The man asked himself as he attempted to stay warm. Surprisingly enough, he wasn’t the only one running about this late into the night. It seemed the streets and sidewalks were filled with random drunks and people who worked late. Despite his time here in Japan, Leon couldn’t wrap his head around their work ethic to push themselves to the breaking point and still go out all night with their co-workers.
Settling down onto a wooden bench, the quincy pulled out his cell phone, waiting for his new found friend to make an appearance, cursing himself for saying that he’d be outside of the Old Stone Cafe instead of meeting inside someplace that was actually open and warm. Once she got here, they’d be off in an attempt to find her rare creatures that he vaguely had dismissed as some oddity. “Hope she comes soon.” Leon muttered as he thumbed through the news. “Can’t say I’ve had a gal leave me waiting to go jellyfishing before.” A soft chuckle left him as he thought back to those silly Spongebob cartoons.
