It can be very difficult living for so long, every year or so Ly would try and returned to the battle field which his human self died. Over the years he watched as the bodies reduced to bones, watched as the bone tuned to dust. He watched as the humans moved in and built up their city, covering and forgetting about the dead they walk on each day. Although he knew they had no idea of their insult, it still caused him great irritation. This alone was enough for him to hate them and put him on edge. Add in the fact that there are so many of them, Ly really hates crowds, he could barely contain himself.
However he swore to himself that this place had seen enough death by his hand, he would not kill in this city. This was out of respect for Hiran and the other loyal Black dogs, rather than any care for the pitiful humans beneath. As a further tribute to his old band he had thrown together a little hunting party, their current orders were to hunt down any hollow they see. Split up in groups of two or three they should be able to take on any hollow they run across. Killing the hollows but leaving the humans alone. In the odd chance they came across anyone else they were to run.
Ly was standing high up on the tip of the tallest building in the city, watching over his hollows carefully. He watched with some satisfaction as a group of his hollows descended upon another hollow, saving a human girl, tearing the hollow to shreds before moving on for new prey. It was unfortunate that one of his hollows got ambitious though, it went to attack a human. It was new to his hunting group, so he did not have as much control over it as he did the others, but not it had to die. As Ly fell onto the hollow crushing its chest and head, killing it in one go, he looked up at the human and could see why the hollow was so tempted.
This human was strong spiritually no drought, they even had the guts to stand up against a trio of hollows standing before them. However he had to get back and watch over the rest of his hunting party. With a nod to the human to make sure they were ok, and a nod to the other to hollows to resume the hunt, Ly jumped away back to his position so he could once again watch over his hunting part. It was starting to get later now, with the sun starting to fall; he would have to call off the hunt soon. As the humans finish their ‘work’ and flooded the streets the temptation to the hollows may be too much.
Not to mention with the stupid hollows attacking people the shinigami would be alerted, they would be there soon if they weren’t already. This day the shinigami and Ly had the same goal, to kill the hollows and save humans, not that any shinigami would see it that way. With a loud howl, that could be heard all around the city, Lys hunting party returned to the base of the tower to regroup before leaving together.
