Being accepted into the second division was the highlight of Asadi’s career as a shinigami. He had trained long and hard to become a precision instrument, to strive for the goals no matter what in each mission. But despite all his efforts, he knew that he was lacking. The shinigami could wield his weapon with no issue, confident that he could go toe to toe with the average shinigami or hollow… not so much with the older, more practiced members. What he was severely lacking in was his training with Hakudo.
Sure, having a weapon was nice, but Asadi needed to be able to rely on himself if he were to ever be disarmed… that would be a hard felt issue that he’d have to face. Wanting to turn his whole body into a weapon was his goal, especially when it came to survival and winning out on the battlefield. How else was he suppose to impress any superior, his humor? That was highly unlikely.
Finding a teacher was hard; no one seemed to have the time nor the want for the young shinigami. Without much choice, Asadi had to look outside of his division. Only one place came to mind, fifth division. Mainly seeking the one known as the Iron Fist, Victoria Aeserninus. Asadi felt his hair stand on end as he approached the Fifth’s compound. He had never thought that he’d be in the position to ask for such a thing. Still strolling through the compound, a few shinigami cast him an unusual look, seeing the second’s emblem blazed on his uniform. Most of them probably didn’t understand why someone from the second was even here.
Not exactly knowing his way around, the shinigami finally broke down and asked for directions to the officers’ quarters, specifically, Victoria’s place. Rather surprised by Asadi’s request, the shinigami reluctantly pointed him the right way. As he came to the door, he took a deep breath, “Okay… Just ask her and be on your merry way.” All he could hear was the sound of his heartbeat’s deafening tone ringing in his ears as his right hand gently rapped on Victoria’s door.
