The landing of the plane had jolted the young Quincy from her slumber. With a blink and yawn, Freyleif gathered her small backpack from the seat in front of her and waited until the plane had docked to move out. It had been some time since she set back foot in Karakura - it seemed Germany was a far safer place than this dump hole with the constant Hollow attacks. How could anyone live here? Regardless, the town had called her back for more errands. This place was Jian’s domain anyway, but being cooped up in a castle was boring too. After meeting Marshal, she hoped things had returned to normal, then again people were still warring over stupid philosophy on the Balance.
Collecting her white raven, who was pissed and making so much racket for being caged, Freyleif headed out the airport and stepped into the bustling life of the streets without guards following her like the FBI. She wore simple clothing; denim jeans and a white T-shirt. Her old nordic wolf cross dangled from its silver chained necklace to gleam out in the sunny rays and lastly tugged the white fur-trimmed mantle around her tighter, a symbol of a raven on its back.
Her destination: anywhere she damned pleases, for now. Hefting the cage up after looking right and left, Freyleif set off to sample one of the local cuisines about. There had been a flyer about a Tokei Aruki, apparently, it had been around for some time, and she wondered with the BnB would be like, she needed to destress anyway. She read the flyer on the notice board a moment to memorize the location then moved off towards its direction. The white raven squawked so often and tried to nip at blonde haired Quincy’s hand holding the handle, lucky for her it was long enough to avoid its sharp beak.
“Shut up, Verdani, I’ll let you out soon,” she scolded the bird. “This cage is heavy enough with your fat self.”
The Quincy ignored the raven’s complaints the whole way until they neared the BnB. She wondered what kind of meals they served - it looked like a quaint little place on the outskirts with a nice sign and a small trail leading up to the place.
She was just about to pull in when he cage flew open and the raven dashed out and flapped into the restaurant just as a guest opened the door. “Verdani!” Freyleif shouted and dropped her cage before running after the bird and startling the poor customer who watched wide-eyed the whole time. The bird landed on the counter, pecking at the ringer, before flapping up to the gift shop to gets its beak on something shiny. The poor Quincy’s cheeks turned red in embarrassment as once again her ‘pet’ made a scene and tried calling the blasted bird to her before things got out of hand.
“Why in Loki’s hairy ass did I let you come. You just can’t behave, can you?” she groaned watching the bird fly up to the ceiling in circles.
