Walking through the streets, Phoenix couldn't see anything that wasn't worth her while. She chose downtown Karakura as a place of venture to kill boredom, not multiply it threefold. Her hands in her coat, she couldn't help but clench them as she heard the voices of drunks try to make pick-up lines but brutally fail in front of bars, offers by some sort of pimp to work at a club or bar, or perhaps the madmen who believe demons are coming to rid the world. Phoenix, found it ironic she dislikes the last bunch, knowing very well the existence of souls, but she felt if there was a smart thing humans should do, is stay away from the spirit world.
Stepping into an alley for a moment, she leaned against a wall and closed her eyes, letting out a deep breath while rubbing her temples with her left hand, feeling a bad headache coming on. Before opening her eyes she felt someone grab her by the shoulders, opening her eyes she saw a man try to lean in close to her ear, but before he could reach she kicked him in the abdomen, sending him crashing against the other wall.
"Awe come on baby, I was just fooling around. You look stressed, maybe you need to chill and you and me can have some good times, but damn I like a fiest-"
Not even listening to the man, Phoenix left her gigai, Zanpakuto first as she held the Katana blade in her right hand, and drew it with her left. In a swift motion she sliced the mans throat and looked down on him with a cold glare before spitting on him.
"You had it coming. Didn't anyone ever tell you never to mess with fire?"
Ly was wondering the town in an attempt to relax after long and catastrophic failure of a hunt. Ly had been hunting down an arrancar who was supposed to have information on Princes location. After a month of chasing down leads, after a full week of hunting him down, Ly finally caught up with his target. The resulting fight had ended with Lys entire hunting party wiped out and the target incapacitated. Ly interrogated him for about an hour before he was convinced that he didn’t know anything about Prince. Ly didn’t even get the satisfaction of eating him. Before Ly could take so much as a bite, the arrancar regained enough power to blow himself up.
Ly hadn’t had such a failure in a long time, so he decided to wonder the town to relax. That was until he ran across another arrancar. This one however, felt funny. With the way she walked through the crowed it was clear everyone could see her. Now admittedly a lot in this town could sense and see the spiritual, but for this many people to see her was incredibly strange. With his curiosity peeked, Ly decided to follow her for a while. All she was doing was walking around the streets like some everyday human. That can’t have been every entertaining for an arrancar.
Eventually she seemed to realize this herself and walked into an alleyway. Ly was considering leaving at that point. If she was board, watching her was painfully so for Ly. However, just than something interesting happened, a human was walking up to her. He looked like one of the many who were trying to seduce her earlier. Normally an arrancar would just rip them apart with their hands. After all its not as if humans are generally that powerful enough to need their sword. That is why it was so strange when after a weak little kick; her first step was to draw her blade.
As expected for an arrancar, she cut him down without any hesitation. That part was completely un-interesting, what really caught his attention was that she was wearing one of those fake human bodies the shinigami wear. Ly jumped in closer, now standing on the roof just above the ally looking down. Ly had never seen an arrancar use one of those bodies, it was worth a little conisation to figure it out. So Ly dropped down into the alleyway, still leaving himself openings in case he had to run, he stood naturally, not defensive or aggressive, however, Ly was always ready to fight or flee.
You say don’t mess with fire but personally, I think that was rather cold. Just like an arrancar.
With a smirk Ly walked a little closer. As the humans body hit the ground his soul fell out. As expected of a weak human, he was so fearful and pathetic he broke down on his knees crying and begging for his life. He clearly had no idea how bad his luck was. His life and soul was forfeit the moment he entered the ally. words:515 GP:10 TGP:10
Hearing a voice from above and behind, Phoenix took a step to half turn towards the being that the voice came from. Her gut told her that the voice was a hollow, and it was right, no Shinigami she knew could make that beastly a voice. She enjoyed a little sass every now and then, but this time, she decided to go a bit over as she smirked towards the creature, tightening the grip on her blade charging her very soul through it as the sparks ran along from the hilt gathering at the tip of the blade, lighting a fire surrounding the blade.
"Oh? Now do you still think I'm cold?"
Facing the building opposed to the one the hollow sat upon, Phoenix ran and jumped onto the wall, before jumping off again upwards towards the first rooftop, releasing the pent up fire in a striking motion to boost propulsion. After getting above the roof level, she planted her feet down as she slid to the other side of the roof, narrowly ending before she would slide off the other side.
Getting a stronger glance at the canine hollow, she slowly walked towards it, Zanpakuto facing down in her left hand. She pet the hollow with her right, feeling the boney nature of the entities shell before scratching behind it's ears.
"So what brings you out here? Looking for a bone to bury?"
Ly immediately knew he had overstepped his bounds, yet again. The arrancar in front of him was far stronger than the Ly had first thought, much stronger than Lys senses had told him. He would really have to do something about that. Normally Ly could gauge someones strength from how they stood or struck, yet this arrancar didn’t let her true strength show until just when she wanted it. This meant Ly was potentially in a lot of trouble. Not only was she powerful, but unlike other arrancars, she also had professional training. What really confused Ly though was the training he could see in her movements, it was highly reflective of the shinigamis training.
As her blade erupted in sparks and flame she asked if he still thought she was cold. Ly couldn’t help but let out a chuckle, which probably sounded like some evil laugh with his voice, and shock his head smiling. Although her zanpakuto was on fire there was still that coldness behind her eyes which would never go away. Ly had seen it often enough and long enough to know it would always leave a cold streak in anyone. Not that Ly was stupid enough to say anything to her, she was determent to be hot as fire, and calling her cold wasn’t good for his life expectancy.
As she approached Ly, Zanpakuto in one hand, while reaching out with the other Ly ran though his chances. His chances to win in a fight were all but non-excitant. His chances of making a run for it, were considerably higher, however, still not high enough to push his luck. Instead he decided to take his chances with the arrancar. Before she was actually in reach Ly had to concentrate to suppress his ‘targets blood,’ if she touched that she would count it as an attack and kill him. The blood had saved him more times than he could count, and yet also gotten him into more trouble than he could remember.
She actually started to pat Ly, a 3 meter tall, 7 meter long, including tail, fully armoured giant hunting cat. Yet she just walked up and started to pat him. Ly could feel the power in the slightest of her touches and knew he would be smart not to try any fight, so he went along with her. He may even be able to come out on top with a new contact. But first there were things that Ly had to know before anything else, even if it meant he was putting his skin at risk. Normally Ly would have enjoyed a little banter and pushing his conversation partners buttons, however this one was pushing his luck more than he was comfortable, still he had to ask.
Already found my bone, he blew himself up, nothing left to bury. What brings you out here? Why walk amongst the humans like one of them? Scratch that. More importantly, why does someone who smells like an arrancar move like a shinigami?
