Raphael Laurent, friend to Freylief Queen of the quincy…and lover to Freylief Queen of the Quincy, stalked quickly through the halls. He was, for once, formally dressed in the Order’s attire, and was carrying a clipboard, passing recruits and knights alike. He didn’t have the time for any of their shenanigans today. He was on an important mission and allowing them, any of them, to stop him for any length of time would only make what he was doing take longer.
Ironically he’d begun filling out any additional roles that were needed or more missing. Having already done a great deal of administration work for the Vigilance organization in the past, he was already quite accustomed to most of the tasks that he had started performing for the Quincy. He had submitted seventeen requisition orders for lumber and steel, and had also sent word to several of the knights responsible for training new recruits, that they would be having to increase the number of training sessions per day. Well, that was solely in training groups one to five. Groups six through fifteen were performing at the level that was expected.
Still he’d gone over the entirety of this castle several times, examining training methods of the knights, the banquets, the castle’s construction… There were too many things that needed attention at this place, and to make matters worse Freylief and several of her higher ups were meeting to plan an invasion of the Seireitei.
He shook his head. That was the last thing that they needed. The Quincy were just on the verge of returning to the stage as a spiritual power in the world, and the last thing they needed was a war to cull their numbers. He was going to have to act quickly. There was a lot to do before they were even close to ready for a war with the Seireitei, though were he to be honest, he didn’t think that the quincy would ever really stand a chance in a real war. He knew that her advisors didn’t like him all that much and, were he to be perfectly honest, that was a great thing about what he was planning.
A young woman, one of the requisition officers he remembered, walked up to him, and he sighed inwardly. “Mr. Laurent! I’m glad that I ran into you! I’ve got the forms that you wanted to go over. Unfortunately-! Mr. Laurent? Where are you going?”
“Listen, Jennifer, I’m afraid that I don’t have time for this at the moment.”
She stopped and looked in the direction he was heading. “Excuse me sir! You’re moving in the direction of the war room! There’s a meeting going on right now!”
“I’m well aware,” he shouted over his shoulder. The moment that he reached the door, it swung outward on its hinges, and the whole of her advisors all got to their feet.
“Frey!” he shouted. “You’ve gotta come quickly! It’s an emergency!” he was frantically waving his clipboard as he entered the room, and walked towards her, forcing back the chairs of the men seated around the table and placed his hand on hers, staring into her eyes. “It is of the utmost importance that you come with me.”
