The raccoon looking teen walked down a set of stairs with an air of detachment. It wasn't until the guards down at the steps had stopped her and noticed how she was slouching and bumping into the walls. "Where is Fáelán?" the teen mumbled to the guard guiding her back up the stairs as she was lost once again.
"Last we saw he was in the Labs, my Queen." the guard said lightly patting the blonde on the head. She gave him a sneer and he slowly moved his hand back to his side. "Would you like me to show you to the labs?" he quietly and carefully said. Thankfully Freyleif had agreed and grunted out a 'yes' response. She was too tired to give a damn whether or not people laughed at her lack of direction in the castle as this had been the hundredth time in which she needed help.
Crossing through the libraries, the guard stopped and said, "Just beyond here, your Majesty. I don't have a card key so ask the others for help." he bowed then took off in a hurry before Freyleif could make a response.
"What an ass." she muttered under her breath before taking out her card and sliding it through the reader. With the recent attack on the castle, it had been beefed up with security and many Quincy were on edge. They were both afraid of the troubled Queen and the lack of power to protect themselves.
Finally, Freyleif found her destination: Fáelán's old lab room. She knocked a few times to get his attention before using her card to come in. "Fal? Are you about?" she looked around with all the concoctions and rows of shelves filled with files, a typical 'science' place for one to dabble in.

Fáelán hummed as he strode round the corridors of the castle towards his lab. He was reading a few papers he'd just brought back from the lab in Hueco Mundo on some of his Ginto research. He was about half way down his current page when a ping in the back of his mind made him stop, someone had just entered his lab. The man snapped the folder of files shut, tucked it under his arm and quickened his pace to an almost run. Whoever was in his lab could either take a lot of knowledge they shouldnt have or end up burning most of it if they tried to open the wrong box. He had to get to them quickly to stop either outcome but his lab was clean across the castle several floors away.
The Quincy reached into his pocket, pulled out two Ginto tubes and began the spell, "Welten kollidieren und Welten zerbrechen, sind aber für immer verbunden." He threw the tube against the wall infront of him, "Weltbrücke!" The tubes shattered and its contents splattered across the wall, the fluid shimmered from its usually blue to jet black. As He stepped throught the portal he pulled out another tube and prepared to cast another spell incase it really was an intruder in his lab.
Fáelán stepped out of his portal into his lab, as he landed he crouched down and was about to throw the tube when he recognised the scruffy blonde mess of an intruder, it seems the Teenie Queenie had stopped by for an impromptu visit. The man quickly rose to his feet and bowed, throwing the tube and folder onto a nearby desktop. As he straightened up from his bow he clicked his fingers and the black portal behind him snapped shut, "Your highness, how can I help you? Are you looking for something in particular?"
She suddenly felt a ping of energy suddenly appear in her senses and blinked when the Irish man bowed from the desk he stood by. Her mind too tired to process where the hells he had been. The Quincy teen just shook her head and gave a tired smile in return.
“Hello, Fal,” she said tiredly and faced him. “I’ve been wondering how you were doing, and if you had time to chat about the Order and some ideas on ginto.” the teen scratched the back of her head sheepishly, it had been awhile since they had really talked and the meeting didn’t seem to go all that well either.
The queen made herself comfortable on a chair by the desk and let out a sigh as tiredness wore her down. She resisted rubbing her eyes and put on a plastic smile when looking at the redhead.
“Besides that,” a long pause as she shifted uncomfortably. “What have you’ve been up to? You seem, uh, busy as last and I rarely hear from you.” it was best to check on her fellow Quincy especially after recovering from her trauma - it was business as usual - maybe. A yawn escaped and she covered her mouth before lowering her hand back on her lap and stared at the desk awaiting Fal’s reply.

Fáelán smiled lightly at the girl in front of him, "It has been a while yes, you know you are welcome to come visit me anytime you want. However i would like to ask that you tell me first where possible, then you dont trigger my alarms. But lets not worry about such things now. As for what I've been doing, well..." The man reached into his coat and pulled out what looked like a Ginto tube but was made from slightly green shaded glass and contained what looked like sand. "I have managed to make these. For now it seems i am the only one able to actually use them as normal Ginto tubes, for everyone else it either does nothing or just shatters like a glass of sand, don't know why. But once i do, I can fix it and start mass producing them for anyone who wants them."
His smile faded when he saw the bedraggled girl before him yawn, "And what about you, my Queen? You appear to be... run down. Are you resting enough?" The mans voice was full of concern for the girl, she usually took much more care in how she looked and acted when out and about. He took a step forward towards her, "Is there something I can do to help?"
Alarms? The teen blinked and looked around. What could be so dangerous to put up alarms? Perhaps there had been dangerous traps around - something she would take note later the next time she visited. She supposed it was common courtesies, yet at the same time, she couldn’t wrap her head around the why.
“Hmm, okay then,” she said with a bit of skepticism behind her voice. He then pulled out a ginto tube, one different made than the usual. Frey examined it with an eyebrow lifting upward and tilted her head a bit. “Interesting, uh, sand base? I’ve been trying to expand my ‘spell book’ ideas but I haven’t had much luck nor time to learn with others in that area.”
Soulless emeralds stared back at Fal as he approached her. There were a million replies she could make up than just being ‘tired’ but he would probably catch on to the lie. Her right twitched and a lingering fog of reiatsu settled over her head like a cloud before she took a breath in and looked towards the way, anywhere she wouldn’t be looking at him, and spoke in a somber, tired, tone.
“N-no, I haven’t been able to rest well after-” she paused and looked down at her lap for a moment before shaking her head. A lump settled in her throat before she swallowed and her hands began to shake her head to shake off the negative feelings. “It’s fine. I don’t think I’ll easily get over losing my children.” her voice began to break up and she cleared it a few times and held back the dam from overflowing. She didn’t want to let her weakness being able to crack through and forced a smile and lifted her head to look back at Fal. No matter how much she tried to suppress her emotions back her body still shook, mostly her hands being the most obvious, and she tried to hold that gaze to the redhead.
"The Order structure is a mess, I wanted to get your opinions really," she said before clenching her right hand into a fist and coughed into it. "I've been working on form with Erek and I, well, wanted to show a few trustworthy on their thoughts." she slipped her hand into her uniform's jacket and took out a slip of paper and set it on the desk before neatening it out. The form's structure ranks were completely blank but offered a more organized, military, climb and giving clan's more say in votes to those that held head over their own clans.
"It's got laws and everything that makes sense like any other Quincy clan. What do you think? Any questions?" she then relaxed back in the chair and awaited his thoughts.

Fáelán let out a small sigh as she mentioned not getting over her children easily. She was only half right, it's not going to be 'not easy', it's going to be impossible, the pain will always be there. All anyone can do is just be around incase she needs them, 'But you're too proud and too childish to lean on others, aren't you?' The man came back to reality when she layed out a piece of paper with her proposed restructure. He span the tube in his hand around before flicking it at the door, "Sperren." The tube shattered and the contents dissolved into a green liquid before splattering against the door and seeping into the cracks sealing it shut. "Lets take a look shall we."
As he stepped forward he took hold of the back of the chair she was sat and span it around and push it under the table slightly. He leaned over the top of the small girl, placing his hands on the table either side of where she was tucked into it and read the document over her head. Fáeláns coat fell open surrounding the chair and its occupant, Freyleif would easily have been able to see that it was almost entirely lined with Ginto tubes, some the usually silcver and some of the green glass. The man hummed slightly as his eyes passed over the words and a few crude diagrams, presummably to help illustrate how the different ranks relate. "Well, it looks like a more refined and polished version of what we have now. The laws seem to make sense. The only difficulty i see is filling all the spots. Especially these ones." Raising his right hand he pointed to the section about ambassadors. "But otherwise it all looks fine to me right now, I can ponder it further if you want. I may think of something later."
Fáelán lowered his head till his chin was resting on top of the girls messy hair, "As for learning new things, you did show me a few spells and unique tricks, and how does that saying go? 'You show me yours and I'll show you mine.'"
Freyleif rose an eyebrow as the tube shattered against the door then the contents seeped through the cracks to mend it. An interesting technique she’d have to pry into that one at a later date. For now, she patiently waited to hear out Fal’s opinion. So far he had little criticism over it.
She fidgeted about her chair and watched the red-haired man carefully as he got behind her. Confusion dotted her facial expression as he hovered over her in that weird position and redness grew along her cheeks. Emeralds peered at the line of tubes that littered inside his coat, hand twitching slightly in wanting to grab one.
“Hmm, if you have time to think about it more, by all means, I’d like to hear how we can improve the ranks,” she said looking over the ambassador parts wondering what he meant by those.
As he rested his chin on her head, Freyleif gave out a huff and folded her arms. Her reiatsu wrapped around her petite form as she contained herself from getting irritated being treated as a chin stool.
“I’m glad you managed to learn new tricks from a few of my cantrips,” she chuckled bitterly. “You’ve gone a long way from what I can see.” deep down she was a bit jealous in some way that he became a little better than her in the aspect of mending objects whereas hers were more destructive. Taking a deep breath, the teen calmed down and let her spiritual energy evaporate and remained silent.

Fáelán looked down at the top of the girls head when her reiatsu flared and then leaned forward slightly when it subsided. Using his right hand he opened a drawer in the desk, rummaged around for a second and pulled out what looked the chamber from a large revolver of some sort. The man straightened up and stepped back slightly from the girl in the chair and started to pull Ginto tubes from the inside of his coat and load them into the device he just pulled from the desk. "Welten kollidieren und Welten zerbrechen, sind aber für immer verbunden." Light blue ribbons with flecks of green peeled back from his hand and wrapped around the device. Fáelán took a deep breath, this was the second time he'd cast this in a fairly short period of time, it would take a toll this time. "Weltbrücke!"
The six tubes he had loaded into the device fired forward, dissolved mid air and splashed on the wall in front of him, the mix of blue and green fluids seemed to spiral inwards before shimmering to a jet black. Tucking the device into the inside pocket of his lab coat he turned and grabbed the back of the chair Freyleif was sitting in, pulled it in front of him and walked through the portal, wheeling the chair and the girl with him.
When he stepped out of the other side, still pushing the chair and its user, the man moved a few paces forward, snapped his fingers and the portal collapsed in on itself and vanished. Fáelán took a deep breath of the fresh outside air, he had brought them to a grassy area around the back of the castle he used to practice his spells.
A sudden wave of fatigue washed over him causing him to stumble. He managed to catch himself on a nearby bit of wall and leaned against it to catch his breath. "Well." The man panted slightly as he spoke, "That's one spell I made. But it can be a bit tiring to use multiple times." He gestured towards her, "And for multiple people too."
Freyleif watched as the man reached into the drawer, rummaging out what looked like a revolver chamber. Eyes widen and almost wanted to reach out to nab it but reigned back any excitement. She looked over her shoulder as Fal began to load them in the device and quirked a curious brow wondering what he was up to now. The teen braced herself as he began to cast, taking in the incantation, then stared at the wall before her as the liquids spiraled then turned jet black to form some sort of portal. She gasped as he pulled then wheeled her chair as they went through the portal. She clenched her eyes and braced herself once again.
Slowly her eyes peeked open when they now were outside. Glancing around, Freyleif blinked a few times and then clapped her hands and cheered. “That was amazing!” she exclaimed and jumped from her seat and turned to Fal who was already out of breath and leaning on a wall.
“I bet it’s tiring! That would be useful getting to one point to another, but how much preparation does it take and is it like that Portal game?” she grinned. Her mind running through silly thoughts of using portals and throwing containers through it to confuse her enemies. Her spiritual energy bubble around her like a crackling flame as she couldn't contain her excitement in learning new spells, but not long as she noticed and slowly pulled the energy closer to her form. "Sorry, I have a problem with that." she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

Fáelán steadied his breathing and straightened back up and let out a chuckle, the youngsters curiosity was very refreshing. "You saw how much preparation it takes, take the tubes and cast the spell. The only thing you do is hold the image of the end point and the portal will form." He pulled out the Ginto chamber before continuing, "I only used this because i cant physically hold six tubes in my hands and using my ribbons splits my concentration a little too much."
The man paused while he considered her comparison, "Not. Exactly, no. From what i understand, the game portals work like a door connecting two rooms, whereas my portals work like a corridor that runs through the void." Fáelán smiled at Freys excitement at this new spell as he removed his lab coat, turning inside out revealing that it was entirely lined with Ginto tubes including the inside of his sleeves, the back and around the collar and laying it on the wall. "Have you still not got that under control yet?" Another chuckle escaped him as he removed the jacket of his Quincy uniform, followed by his white t-shirt, folded them both and laid them gently on the chair.
His torso was well toned and each of his muscles well defined, however large scars also streaked all around his body. All were healed, but some were old and some others were only just recently healed. "I find this is a good area to practice spells. Nice open area and hardly anyone comes out here, so no interruptions." The Quincy extended his right hand towards his coat as five light blue ribbons, speckled with green flecks, peeled back from his hand, hovered slightly before darting forward and picking a Ginto tube each from his coat. As the ribbons and tubes came back to him, reishi spiraled in a small tornado in his hand. Closing it into a fist the reishi extended down to the ground and up to match his height, it solidified almost entirely revealing his signature spear.
The ribbons twisted and wrapped around the spear gently, placing the tubes into small slots along the shaft before recoiling back into his wrist and vanishing. Fáelán turned to face the queen again, "So, shall we have a little bit of fun?"
So it was purely on picturing on the next area, a remembrance in memory, perhaps. That was a pretty neat idea, all you had to do was hold the image of a place and it would appear at the end of the spell. “Ah, now that makes sense, and neat device,” she said clasping her hands together and listening intently.
The idea wasn’t as she thought when he explained and she nodded before taking mental notes down. Her face turned beat red when he began to take off his lab coat, lined with many more ginto. “No, it’s a problem I don’t know how to solve.” as much as she hated to admit that, it was the truth that her spiritual energy still needed some refinement. The teen moved her head away slowly when he took off his Quincy uniform and coughed.
Sucking in some air, Freyleif turned back to him and gazed at his torso seeing his scars. She quite noticed the recent scarring and frowned at such. She would have to question that later, too much was on her mind anyway. Regardless, she watched him intricately form his spear. He had improved from the last time they had met and she felt a sense of pride towards him, though her smile faded quickly as she thought about her stance of being Queen and if she truly saw them as her kin anymore. The once sparkling emerald had dimmed their luster and she shook her head before paying attention at hand.
“Hm? Ah, yes, let’s,” she said with a bit of confusion, seemingly this was a practice? She removed her white trimmed mantle and tossed it to the side along with her uniform jacket. She wore a white T-shirt beneath with some sauce stains and blue uniform pants with knee-high black boots. She flexed her fingers and grinned as she prepped up, it had been awhile since she played around with spells and there were many she wanted to practice and expand.
The intricate knotwork tattoos began to glow in a bioluminescence aura as liquid ginto shifted about the runic designs. “Führen Sie über unser Land in Haß und ihr werdet spüren ist Zorn - Gaia's Smite.” she began to chant, the reishi around the area beginning to condense and held into the air as the temperature slowly dropped. She concentrated on holding the spell and waited for a moment before saying the command. “Naturzorns.” Freyleif flicked her left hand and there was a flash of her tattoos. The reishi around Fal began to manifest into icicles in the air and snow around their feet. The icicles began to fall and Freyleif watched as most of one's around her dispersed before touching her and shattered into glittering specks of dust.
