Raphael looked around the forest that he was standing in. He’d hiked here, far away from Karakura and Tokyo, deep into the backwoods of the mountain in order to practice. He adored his telekinesis for the many practical applications that it yielded, yet he could sense that there was still more. He could easily control inorganic substances, rip them apart reform them, control their movements… Yet organic matter, somehow, continued to elude him...or at least it had. He was beginning to delve into even this now.
Ever since seeing De- Alexandria, a few months ago, his entire idea about his telekinetic abilities and their hold over the world around him had altered further. He had begun, when no one was around, to delve further and further, practicing on himself to change his own appearance.
It had started awhile back with the alteration of his muscle mass, changing its concentration and location. He’d followed this up by actual bone structure; that one had hurt like a bitch... He’d basically been tearing his body apart, and rebuilding it. But it had worked, miraculously, and he’d survived it enough to put himself BACK together. The hair had actually been the easiest part, just accelerated growth. It was everything else about his body alteration, that was proving difficult.
But that was why he’d come out here, to the mountains. He was going to practice somewhere where people couldn’t see him. Flying? Lifting things with the mind? Altering his physical form in its entirety?! Oh the media would have a damn field day with that one…
He stopped in the middle of the forest, looked around a few times and began to focus, when he was sure that there weren’t any people around him. Slowly, slowly, the angular facial features he’d inherited from his father softened and rounded out. His musculature rounded a bit, but remained the lightest bit of tone, making him look overall more slender. His hair lengthened a bit, dropping to just below his shoulders and thickened.
Finally the process ended, externally anyways, and he walked over to a small pond and looked at himself. Raphael was gone. The broad shoulders had disappeared, the facial features had filled out…
“Wow!” he shouted looking at himself and was further surprised by his voice. The deep tonation and inflections were gone, replaced by something a bit higher in pitch and altogether different in sound. He might’ve passed for a rather flat chested, more masculine looking woman, like this! But that wasn’t good enough… He kept trying, it wasn’t where he wanted it to be yet… Reproduction organs vanished and, as he was now, he would’ve been classified as asexual. Another one of the things he hadn’t been able to fully master yet, but he was getting there.
Looking at himself for a few minutes in the pond again, he couldn’t deny that he had done a fairly good job. He could’ve stood to make the hair a bit longer and thicker…were he to be honest, but as it stood, this would suffice as sufficient results. He started walking back further into the forest smiling and whistling to himself. It wasn’t until after he’d gotten into a slightly thicker part of the wood that he began to sing in the higher pitched sing song voice. This was a new experience and, though it took a bit of concentration, it was still new and interesting. He could sense something up ahead, or someone, and decided to approach for fun; who knew what he would run into?
