Yep. Karakura Town. He was delaying his return to Berlin mostly because he…wasn’t looking forward to telling Freylief what had happened and this odd change that had occurred. He was pretty sure that she was going to kick the living hell out of him when he finally did get back. All of it, of course, having to do with the thing that was now inside of him, the thing that kept calling itself Jeremy. He wondered why in the world this was happening. Maybe he shouldn’t have tried blurring the lines, shouldn’t have tried to make himself more powerful that way.
Still, thinking that way now would have devalued the results of his research, the conclusions that he’d come to would fall away. Resolve was practically all that he had now, and that was the only thing carrying him forward at this point. Well, that and Frey.
Downtown was a lot more bustling than normal for this time of day and, even more so, the cool weather. He wouldn’t have expected as many people would be out at this time, and so he walked forward slowly, doing his best to avoid people as he went. It wasn’t that he specifically disliked people, just that today wasn’t exactly the day for it. He was already listening into their minds, after all, not that they could help it. He was feeling it out, and just happened to hear them. Their thoughts were so small and annoying.
Yet he was suddenly struck by a strange sensation nearby and looked down a nearby alley. Confused he took a step towards it.
“Hmm… That’s peculiar… I could have sworn there was something down here…”
