Frey had been… Well, pissed wasn’t even a way to define it; honestly even livid seemed rather tame to him. Still he’d managed to walk away from it alive and in, relatively good shape, until she healed him. Then she’d sent him on his way after a good stern talking to. He’d deserved it, in retrospect. He didn’t know what the hell he’d been thinking when he’d made this damn thing. Though it was far worse, since it was inside of him. More than likely finding something to make a home in beyond his head.
Your ring.
‘What?’
I’m making myself a home.
‘How are you…? Would that make me a fullbring?!’
There was a long moment of silence. I don't know. Does it really matter? A second period of silence.
I didn’t think so.
With a sigh, he kept moving through Karakura Town, hoping to just force a way to make the conversation end. Jeremy, this arrancar like thing that lived inside of him, it never shut up. Despite the fact that it spoke so much like him. His soul had never been fractured, merely woven into. This was…a mutation, in a way. But, he himself was one wasn’t he? He was a being quite similar to a quincy, but at the same time was not a quincy. He had their blood flowing through his veins and had tasted their power, but was no longer like them, o’ cruel fate.
In reality that part of it didn’t bother him all that much. What bothered him more was the fact of what would happen if it evolved. He could have it removed, probably. But then by whom? Not Angeni, she didn’t trust him, not to mention despised him after what he’d done to her daughter.
“What I did…” he repeated the words aloud, annoyed. Sure from some moralistic standpoints it was wrong, but on the same standpoint from a number of other perceptions the world was wrong. Raph’s was one of them definitely. It was wrong as far as he was concerned. It was unfair. Frey had lost first her children and her fiancé, Raphael couldn’t find the man no matter how hard he looked. Her mother hated him, though that much was to be expected. Maybe he could excise it on his own…?
But would you want to?
He didn’t respond, how could he, after all? He still couldn’t think of a way out of this.
Maybe you don’t need to.
It was fairly late into the afternoon and traffic was pretty bad and so he’d just decided to walk. Well, it wasn’t like he was going anywhere anytime soon. It was aggravating to be sure, trying to dodge the most heavily trafficked places. In the end, though, he managed to find a nice place to relax.
But that was when his senses pinged, a signature blazing into life near the edges. It was… there! He moved as quickly as he could, just trying to get to where the energy was coming from as fast as possible.
