There was a lot of buzz going on in Karakura mall, plenty of teenagers and possibly middle-aged woman were lining up for something. There were some men there too, but they either seemed like fanboys or arrogant pricks that thought the world was handed to them on a silver platter. Rick himself was at the mall because of work. someone called upon his contractor business in order to fix some sort of leakage. The leakage itself ended up with an "accident" of some kind, with a dead janitor being found three nights earlier with the entire bathroom being flooded. How was that supposed to make sense for an individual to drown in such a way?
Simple, it was the work of the powers of a hollow.
It wasn't easy to get into the mortuary, but the simple fact that someone's death could be determined as drowning, as well as the entire moisture of their body being drained, it made Rick rather worrisome. The way that this creature was feeding was unnatural, perhaps a new way to garner a precious essence of what's used to satisfy it's hunger or make it evolve? Either way, the being was still out there, and it made karakura mall it's proving grounds. The worse part about it was the difficulty of sensing the spiritual energy of the aquatic creature or assumed to be an aquatic creature. Rick didn't know how it's been avoiding him for so long, but working on the pipes could be the start of how Rick could catch the damned hollow.
However, the fangirl shrieking from the MEN of the group in the center of the mall was proving to be quite the nuisance. What could they possibly go head over heels over? Did a celebrity come in today?
"You know, it really does make me wonder...."
While being in his, white tank top, cargo pants and black boots, it was obvious to some people that Rick was a worker of some kind. As to what, no one really knew but the executives that owned the mall in the first place. Either way, Rick was in charge of his own schedule and allowed to take breaks, as well as the timetable being pushed by the people who hired him because of some kind of runway event happening later in the week.
"I guess a dead body doesn't bode well for good business. If more casualties happen because of this "Drowning incident" I doubt anyone would want to host any events here at Karakura mall, but do they really think so little of the lives of others?"
Waiting around to see what the fuss was about, Rick stood a few feet away from the crowd to get a good look at the person who could cause such a buzz around them.
