Janus wondered what to do with the rest of her day. To be honest she was annoyed with the amount of work she had failed to do in procuring new stuff for her small office. She also needed a new apartment, and a bunch of other things that she was not sure she needed. Janus also was headed to reorder her prints that she had on the walls of her bed and breakfast. Before, Raphael and Jeremy decided to blow it the hell up for her opinions. She sighed at that thought and looked forward to search out other things. It wasn't long before her spiritual sense went up like a christmas tree the day it was picked up from the curb, dead and dry.
What a slow week. The diviner thought as she wondered around the block a few times looking for something to eat. She eventually decided on a small sushi place and ordered everything without the actual rice for the painfully obvious reason sticking out from under her shirt. Janus was a diabetic, had been since she was a child, she was used to all the things that went with it and the need to regulate her diet. So, Janus did. She ordered a plate of the chef's choice sashimi and looked around the small restaurant. Without thinking about it, she critiqued the entire place in the back of her head out of the fact that she missed her own place. Janus loved cooking and it had been that which had taught her what she loved.
She was dressed in a shirt that said 'my eyes are up here.' The thing was way too big for her and cut to show her stomach, so the neckline actually went below her shoulder on one side. Female today, male tomorrow, the usual Janus bluff. She had in her earrings and her bangle on her wrists. The entire ensemble was met with a pair of slacks and usual shoes that did not have laces. Janus had an oddly irrational fear of seeing a future where her shoelace came undone and her trying to fix it, and falling because of that. Self-fulfilling prophecies were dangerous to a diviner like her.
When the plate of sashimi came she slowly began to eat and wondered if anything interesting was going on in the rest of the world.
