[Face of a Hero]
Age / Apparent Age: 18
Gender: Male
Height & Weight: 5'9" & 123 lbs
Hair & Eye Color: (Black)Blue & Blue
Physical Description:
Hiroto or Hiro as he was more known was an average looking male of the human species. Ordinary and mundane in every single aspect. The bright burning glint of determination; a shine most prominent in his bright sparkling blue eyes. His dyed blue hair kept short but not tooo short so to maintain a proper hair to spike ratio. He was in an alert posture, as if always on the lookout for someone in need. His demeanor generally polite and friendly, quick to offer a helping hand when needed and doubly so to stand up to injustice wherever it could be found! That's what a hero of justice did after all. He carried with him a well kept manga with an action scene between a heroic figure against his nemesis upon the cover.
One of the other items of note that he carried upon his person being a tattered that he scribbled in whenever he wasn't otherwise preoccupied. Another was the silver bracelet that he wore around his wrist to inform others of his medical condition. His stature was the complete opposite of intimidating. Scrawny arms and noodle like legs he was always the first to be out of breath by sheer lack of lung mass. His diminutive size did not dissuade him against standing up for others. Despite the challenges his body presented, he always strove to overcome them with a strong willed determination. Evident by the many scuffs and bruises that riddled his body from mishaps or the occasional beating.
While he was quick to stand up for others and offer a helping hand he did so with some measure of awkwardness. Stuttering over his words when caught in confrontation with his posture slumping down when caught in such conflicts. Otherwise he strove to keep his posture as proper as the rest of his attire and to wear a bright cheerful smile.
Spiritual Description:
A dull glimmer of a bright white spark would be what best described any form of spiritual presence that Hiro possessed, bright enough to be there.. but not much else. His spiritual pressure kept to a completely unremarkable level. Content with remaining unnoticed so long as it was capable of acting when he needed it. And when the situation did call for immediate action it was always quick to flare up in a bright display of resounding courage and bravery. His spiritual aura taking the shade of a brightly radiating a bright teal-turquoise. Energy exploding out from his diminutive frame as if the spiritual energy had far outgrown it's host. Leading to an unpredictability that lent itself to his continued survival.. somehow.
[Spirit of a Hero]
A Hero fights for what he believes in!
Growing up Hiro had been an avid fan of all things 'super-hero' so much so that it was something of an obsession. His heart was in the right place and yet he found himself ostracized in school for his tendency to bring up his childish dream. Outside of that he was always very studious and loyal. Always carrying a glimmer of hope for his future dreams while seeking his fictitious idol's footsteps. A dream that had become more and more real with his spiritual awakening, Having only just begun to see the faintest glimmer of his potential power he strove to gain a firmer grasp upon it.
[Aims of a Hero]
Weapon of Choice:
A pristine kept original issue manga from among Hiroto's favorite. This object was kept with him as a gift given by his departed father at a young age. Perhaps the one kindness the much sterner man offered his son, to become a cherished keepsake. This attachment, the bond the item held with the young man was representative of his hopes and aspirations all bundled into one readable format that stirred the imagination towards the ideals of a true hero.
Power: Hiro's power was certainly not what he might have expected; The ability to control and shape his own blood. A power more suited for the villain of one of his favorite stories and yet it was the one that he had developed. A minor amount of control over his own blood could allow him to shape small objects or weapons with more insidious purposes present, yet the youth remained steadfast in denial of that aspect of his power. His medical condition however made his abilities more of a burden than a benefit as even a small use worsening his already frail form, he was still willing to make the sacrifice if it would help another; yet it would prove to inflict it's heavy toll upon him as a result of his selflessness.
[The Heros Journey]
Ordinary World:
Hiro was a child born in Karakura Town under strained circumstance. A father that worked far too much than what was healthy and a mother that had undergone an excruciating child birth that resulted in her mysterious death- The doctors unable to discern the actual cause. Coming into the world premature and without a mothers love his adolescence was plagued by severe hemophilia and a father that was often absent led to a lonely childhood. While he was placed in the hospital for minor cuts and scraps he often found himself reading manga series involving great and mighty heroes. Beings invulnerable to the things that ailed him most and dreaming of an impossibility that he too could become one despite his frail physique. A dream that his father often reminded him; was utterly impossible. Yet even despite the daily reminders of his shortcomings, Hiro drove forwards with a burning determination to see his dreams fulfilled unhampered by the impossibility of those dreams. Because although nobody had ever seen a real life super-hero didn't mean they didn't exist, right?
Call to Adventure:
Hiro's adolescence was wrought with strife and suffering. A subject of constant bullying for his tendency to stand up in the face of adversity, despite this he maintained an ever optimistic attitude. Even when his father continued to grow more and more distant from his ailing son would the boy remain steadfast in his bright outlook of the world. Yet one evening in his seventeenth year he received a call from the local hospital informing him that his father had passed- A heart attack. He had lost himself to his work and the build up of stress had taken its toll. Even then while he mourned his absentee guardian, he did so with a hope in his heart to make him proud. Days passed and turned into weeks, the occasional bit of trouble found with the hoodlums than prowled his neighborhood. In the following months however he soon discovered that something was off, He began seeing things that shouldn't be. People that nobody else could see or hear- Ghosts.
Refusal of the Call:
Out of a fear of being declared insane and committed if he spoke of these sights, Hiro chose to keep his mouth shut. Observing these strange happenings from a distance yet never interacting with these beings. At least until one fateful encounter with a crying child, a child screaming for her mother. Unable to ignore the cries he spoke with the girl and sought to comfort her as best he could, yet he knew that she would never see her mother again. Despite this he returned to the spot every day bringing with him the latest Manga to share, Yet one day upon returning he had found the girl- Akia to have vanished. Left without much in the way of an explanation he returned home while coming up with an array of crazy theories to explain the present mystery, Maybe she had been abducted by aliens for that was the only reasonable thought. Truly things had begun to become strange.
And so over the next couple weeks Hiroto had begun to view spirits with an increased frequency, often finding them on his way to and from school and always eager to assist the dear departed which led him to gaining some experience with making excuses for his tardiness. He often received strange looks from the neighbors as he could be seen speaking to what amounted to thin air half of the time and if anyone confronted him on it found his reply to be the same each and every time, "I'm just talking to my imaginary friend". As his sight grew, so too did the dangers as he found one evening. Returning home to his dingy miraculously paid for apartment he could have sworn he witnessed a lurking shadow slithering past in the night. He didn't see anything for certain and yet he couldn't help but find his thoughts lingering on whatever it might have been. A dog? Some sort of zombie deer? He didn't know and he didn't like not knowing.

[Spirit of a Hero]
"My motivation might seem trivial compared to yours, but i can't lose, either. I have to live up to the hopes of those who supported me."
- Strong-willed - Once Hiro has made a decision to do something he will commit every fiber of his being into seeing it done. A hard will forged by life lived being looked down upon and striving to alter his fate. Bull-headed, stupid. These words meant nothing to a man with conviction. He would take a beating for another much weaker individual than allow someone or someones stronger gang up on them.
- Polite - A true boy scout, Hiro was always helping old ladies across roads and performing other such good deeds. Even something as small as opening the door for someone could brighten a day! Yet sometimes this could be more a hamper than a helper. The young adult often stopping midway through occasional brawls to apologize to his opponent if he had felt he hit them too hard, at risk to himself.
- Protective & Loyal - Once someone had Hiro as a friend, it was usually a friend made for life. Loyal to those he called friend's he would defend them as he would defend a family member. Throwing himself in danger despite his medical condition at great risk to himself. Yet not only on a physical bullet shield level did he show loyalty but on an emotional level as well. He is the type of friend that will call another one up if they seemed off to cheer them up and go about his day.
- Diligent - Hiro always did his chores to say the least. He was very persistent with getting things right and in a timely fashion. Never one to tarry or waste time on a task if it could be achieved easier and neater in a much efficient way. His diligence even reflected in his appearance as his attire was always kept in order while he worked at whatever task was at hand.
- Analytical - Studious but often times falling behind in his classes in school due to his efforts of helping students that needed his help with much easier work than what he would be presently studying on, sacrificing his own progress in favor of advancing his peers. This also shown among combat as he was usually the first to put forwards a plan that would benefit off of his allies and his own combined strengths, always careful to make sure that a situation could be dis-engaged without anyone getting hurt, or worse.. having their feeling's compromised!
- Intuitive - A resounding conviction was strong within the core of the youthful male, even when it otherwise might seem unreasonable. If anything could be said about Hiro it was that he would stand by his beliefs no matter what, rarely requiring much reasoning beyond 'helping' to assist someone in need. Even if the situation turned towards the more violent he would plant his feet down into the dirt and stand his ground, which had earned him more than a few bloodied noses and blackened eyes in the past.
- Selfless - A true hero was always thinking of others above himself, Often times sacrificing themselves in a heroic display of selflessness to grant a chance for cherished comrades to gain purchase in a conflict or escape with their own lives in tact. Hiro displayed this quality almost regularly and it drove him further on wards in his pursuits.
- Hopeful - Despite all of the negativity in the world, Hiro strove to maintain a hopeful and optimistic outlook on the world. Where as some might see the glass half empty, he would view it as completely full. The world was his oyster and he would make the best of it. Quick to offer a bright smile to someone that might otherwise seem distraught or inconsolable he would always be the first to make the effort to cheer them up, stranger or not. A bright sparkle shining among his cheery eyes displaying a sense of youthful wonder that had been unmarred by strife.
H-Hey! You better cut it out!
Unfortunately for Hiro his quick to act attitude would find him in plenty of trouble before long. In his pursuit to follow his idol's footsteps he would often times be confronted by people or creatures much larger and intimidating. It was a struggle for the upcoming underdog to stand up when needed, often becoming choked up amidst the outbreak of turmoil while still trying to maintain his code of beliefs. But strong beliefs and a powerful will could only go so far with his insecurities showing in a display of brash action or over-eagerness to assist which in turn fed itself by causing others to become taken aback by his upbeat personality and excluding him if only for a break from the overwhelming enthusiasm.
- Timid - Even with all of his solid convictions and selfless demeanor, Hiro was still a relatively scrawny human, hardly capable of doing much outwardly to harm a fly judging by appearances alone. This caused him to become rather timid and stutter when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds. But even with shaky hands and chattering teeth he stood firm towards even the most terrifying of opposition, although in a much more uneasy way than the Hero's he idolized.
- Head-strong - Emotion based action was the downfall of many proper heroic figures and Hiro was no different, generally thinking with his heart on most decisions concerning others safety saw him planting himself in plenty of precarious positions as a result of his actions. Quick to assist yes, but rarely paying heed to the initial price that might be paid in the moment if not by him then by another that was used to lure him into action. This head-strong tendency to leap into the fray could be mistaken for bravery, But should one pay close enough attention amidst chaotic situations, one could notice a peculiar shakiness.
- Insecure - His lack of much of a social life with friend's his own age benefited to an insecurity inside of the youth, always far too concerned what others thought of him he was quick to attempt to impress and otherwise present himself outwardly as a much more powerful figure than he actually was. The core of the matter lying in the powerlessness of his mortal form, yet it didn't stop him from striving to overcome his limits as best he could while masking his insecurities behind good deeds and cheery smiles.
- Selfless - Selflessness was truly a double edged blade, while it was the trait most common in figures of legend and performers of great and mighty deeds in countless myths and tales it also proved to be their greatest downfall. Used against them as a potent weapon by the forces of evil in the form of loved ones or innocents being held captive. Not everyone was quite so eager to give themselves up in stead of another and often times would use Hiro's selfless nature against him such as getting him to pick up the slack just because he was eager to assist.
- Naive - Hiroto was in possession of a youthful naivety that strove to see the good in even the most vile, irredeemable souls. Those that had fallen from a right upstanding path sure to get an earful about friendship and redemption from the young man, regardless if they wanted it or not. Yet there was a limit to even the most wide-eyed humanistic belief for the utterly and truly evil beings that lurked within the shadows, Murderers and worse all met with the extreme prejudice of justice to banish their evil from the world.
[Aims of a Hero]
"Being a HERO doesn't mean your Invincible, It just means you're Brave Enough to Stand Up and do what's needed."
