Of the Colour
[ The Primary Colours ]
Age:
Gender: Male
Height & Weight: 6'0" & 196 lbs
Hair & Eye Color:
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits: Trait, Trait, Trait
Loyalties: Who or what does your character look to for authority? Who calls the shots for them? For a Quincy, you will most likely put either your clan/family, or yourself.
Snapshots: Event (date); Event (date); Event (date)
These should be only core events that somehow shaped your character’s life. Birth, what triggered their powers, and things of that sort should be mentioned here. Anything that other characters might want to reference, such as if you had any noteworthy achievements in the past, is useful as well. This is not a full timeline, just the highlights of your history.
[ The Secondary Colours ]
Physical Description: Describe how your character looks, sounds, smells, and acts like. Try to focus on the key aspects of a character, such as their body build, demeanor, and vocal patterns, and stray away from useless information that won’t be brought up in a typical thread. This description should be very cleanly written, but not come off as a checklist of features. Try to mesh all of the parts together to create a coherent thought.
Spiritual Description: Similar to above, though this focuses on the spiritual presence of your character. This would be how their Reiatsu appears and/or feels when they release it. Typically, Reiatsu can invoke a feeling of sorts and often takes on a ghostly appearance. Reiatsu cannot be touched or molded and simply serves as dramatic effect.
[ The Tertiary Colours ]
Personality: Describe who your character is and how they interact with the world. This doesn’t necessarily include what they like or dislike, unless those opinions have an actual effect on the character. That is to say, including that they like to watch it rain is rather useless, however saying they are a hollow sympathizer is certainly worth mentioning. Take into consideration things that will actually be relevant to the story you’re telling and information other thread partners would want to see out of your character. This is where you justify the things you want to do.
Goals & Achievements: This is where you briefly talk about things your character has done in the past, or things they want to do. Please note that you cannot have had any previous position of notable power (such as lieutenant or captain), however mentioning that you were once a seated officer in a certain division is very relevant information. This is a very good place to start a foundation of your story and make notes on the general direction of where you want to go with your character. Above all else, keep your goals reasonable; it was be a little ludicrous to go out the gate wanting to be Captain Commander. However, feel free to update this as you progress, so players have easy access to your current plans and accomplishments.
[ GUARDIAN ANGEL ]
Quincy Cross: The source of your power and typically a symbol among your Quincy family. Even if you’re not born to a Quincy family, all Quincy manage to stumble upon their cross at some point in their life, thus allowing them to channel their powers through it and summon their spirit weapon. Typically, the cross takes on the form of a pentagram or a Christian cross, though it can look like anything.
Power: A brief (1-2 sentences) summary of your power. This only needs to be as complex or as simple as you want it to be, but remember that the full write up belongs in your second post!
Spirit Weapon: Made purely from the surrounding Reishi, your spirit weapon is the tool in which you fight with. Typically speaking, this is a ranged weapon or something that has ranged capabilities. Starting out, the weapon should be relatively vague and not a “physical” object. It isn’t until you have a refined Spirit Weapon (second release) that your weapon takes on a physical form
[ LEGACY CREATED ]
Origin: Each of these three sections should be at least a full paragraph (5-7 complete sentences). In your origin, you should talk about where your character was born and the circumstances of their childhood
Rise to Power: Rise to Power should include how your character came to find their powers and/or the training involved in mastering their control over the Reishi around them.
Call to Action: This is where you talk about the event(s) that made your character shift from an NPC to a player character. For whatever reason, they need to be pulled away from the daily grind and put into the spotlight. In this section, you’ll want to highlight that event(s) and justify why your character is they way they are today.
