Desired Mastery Exchange Replace Reiatsu Perception with Shunpo
okay so, since there isn't an exact form for this kind of request since well, this is unorthodox, i'll go ahead and just wing it.
my request is simple: i would like to exchange my mastery in reiatsu perception for a mastery in shunpo. now I know what you're thinking: why in the hell does he want to do that, and secondly, why would we approve his request? let's get to the crux of it then.
with 3.0 come some significant changes to how shunpo operates (particularly mechanically) and how ruby, as a character, functions within the mechanical parameters. you see, prior to 3.0, range wasn't really a thing to consider during combat, which meant that clever writing on the part of a melee character could mitigate the necessity to have a movement skill. that really isn't he case anymore.
ruby, through and through, is a melee-focused character. she doesn't have any affinity for the spirit-based arts, which means that her reliance on shunpo is much greater than ever before. not to mention, the path in which she will be developing will continue her reliance on the skill (i.e. her bankai).
now you could say that i just suck it up and keep rp at master, and just request shunpo in addition to. the only problem is that mastery approval grows in difficulty the more you have, and i'd rather not have to go through that added hurdle when i know that she won't be using rp nearly as much as she will her shunpo. i had planned to master shunpo next.
for some evidence that i'm not just pulling her shunpo expertise from nowhere, she demonstrates the skill quite evidently in this thread. while not a physical demonstration, she shows her extensive knowledge of the skill through abstract thought in this thread when assessing Noboru's skill with shunpo.
in closing, i would appreciate if this were to be accepted. i am well aware this isn't a common thing, and i fully expect for it to remain that way. but with the system changes, ruby's progression has changed with it
