Reyla brushed her kimono as she waited at the edge of the western gate to the Rukongai. As she watched the streets leading to the gate Reyla couldn't help but look back at the gaping hole in the walls of the Seireitei, once there would have been a guard here to check and make sure that no one without proper clearance came through, but now the guard post stood empty, and only the knowledge of what would happen to trespassers in the fear charged Seireitei kept the citizens of the Rukongai from trespassing. Unfortunately that fear had to battle with a growing discontent among the citizens who saw the quarantine as a failure on the part of the Shinigami sworn to protect them, especially since Hollow's had begun to directly assault the Rukongai.
Thankfully Reyla had a bit of an upper hand on her peers when it came to the citizens of the Rukongai, while seeing her home burned had hurt immensely, and even though the pain had yet to fade, Reyla still hadn't cut ties with the Rukongai, and as such she was still welcome, at least in certain districts, and she fully planned to use that fact to help Ruby relax and let go some of the stress that she'd been feeling lately. Reyla's pondering stopped as she saw Ruby in the distance, and she gave herself one last check before she got ready to greet Ruby.
Reyla was wearing a light blue Kimono with a pattern of white flowers very similar to cherry blossoms embroidered across it to give the effect of blossoms drifting in an open sky with her blade tucked underneath her kimono, keeping it mildly concealed while leaving it in a place of easy access.
As Ruby approached Reyla waved to her, "There you are, I was beginning to wonder if you were going to take me up on my offer."
