↪Height & Weight: 5'11"/180.34cm & 150lbs/69kg
↪Hair & Eye Color: Fionn has long red hair that he typically ties up behind his head. When he lets it down it reaches past his shoulders. His eyes are bright green, but look almost blue from a distance.
↪Reiatsu
Fionn’s reiatsu takes on a wine color, a dark mix of red and purple. It gives off a slight malaise - the feeling that something’s not quite right. Its aura around him moves in a calm ebb and flow.
↪Physical Description
Fionn stands mere centimeters shy of 6 feet, something that irritates him considerably. On all papers and to everyone he meets however, he ensures that he tells them 6 feet - so in the end it's unnoticeable unless he's standing next to someone that tall themselves. At 150 pounds he does not strike an imposing figure. Supple and lean, those who have seen his body have been surprised by how much muscle he has. While no monster of body-builder proportions, Fionn's Hollow hunting keeps him in the shape needed for that line of work anyway. He also mountain bikes in his free time and enjoys the occasional hike. He has a fast metabolism and often eats fast food and candy while at home. In public, he abides to a strict diet of seafood and vegetables. He smokes cigarettes, but only in private and at home. One of his biggest struggles of getting rid of the stench.
In terms of posture, he stands very straight when in any of his various disguises or in public. Likewise, he sits all the way back in chairs and shows proper customs when sitting at tables - such as keeping elbows off of tables and never putting his feet up on things, even footrests. At home however, he adores slouching and has a habit of popping his fingers, neck, spine, left knee, and left shoulder which is double-jointed.

↪Power
Fionn’s unique power is healing, or more accurately, transferring wounds from one person to another. There several drawbacks with the initial release however, including:
He cannot heal himself with this power.
All wounds, diseases, etc. are transferred to someone else. (Typically a random normal human.) He cannot choose who will be the receiver.
↪Quincy Cross
Representing his early life, before any of the hardships caused by his father, Fionn’s Quincy Cross is a small wooden four-leaf clover that he carved for himself as a child. He’s since lacquered it, and keeps it in good condition. He keeps it around his neck on a silver chain.

P - “The Paradox”
Fionn’s Schrift represents the gap between his power’s apparent benevolent ability of healing, and it’s true effect of merely transferring damage to someone else. It also represents his occupation of deceiving people into thinking he’s a priest come to heal them, yet he’s really just come to take their money and ends up healing them in the process.
[History]
"Oh come on mate, we've known each other forever!"
↪Origin
Fionn was born in Ireland, north of Limerick at the MacGallagher family farm. Buried deep in a forest, Fionn’s early life was extremely isolated. His earliest memories are of his mother - Nessa MacGallagher - taking him on longs walks through the forest, past flowing streams and crashing waterfalls. To this day, he still fondly remembers the pungent smell of the wet earth by their home and his joy at picking four-leaf clovers.
Being so isolated, Fionn’s only hobbies were exploring the forest surrounding their farm and collecting four-leaf clovers, and reading the books that his mother would bring back for him on her trips to the city. His first few years were blissful, carefree and filled with plenty of dirt for the child to play in. His mother even taught him how to carve 4 leaf clovers out of wood. This all lasted uninterrupted until his fifth birthday.
The day after he turned five, his stern and silent father - Niall MacGallagher - took him by the arm and led him through the forest to an old bunker. The archaic structure was clearly a remnant from a bygone time, moss covering the cracked concrete. His father led him inside, to find a sprawling complex filled with rooms dedicated to different kinds of spiritual training and learning. His father, Niall, revealed to Fionn the true nature of the world. He taught him of the Shinigami, the Quincy, the Hollows, and much more.
In Niall’s teaching were seeds of his ideology however, and as such Fionn was raised from a young age to hold unorthodox views for a Quincy. He was taught to distrust other Quincy, and was never given lessons on the “evils” of Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. In additions to these lessons, his father also gave him another: suffering.
Fionn’s father had long been a victim of mental illness and an abuser of drugs. This led to random bouts of intense violence, taken out on Fionn or his mother. On several occasions, Niall nearly killed Fionn - who grew to hate his father for this. While they didn't stem from hatred from his family on Niall's part, Fionn was wholly incapable of seeing them as something not his fault or at least out of his father's hands.
These unpredictable beatings instilled new, negative things in Fionn. He adopted a number of new personality traits and habits. He became a pathological liar. He began hiding things and deceiving his parents. For awhile, he developed anger issues of his own. He began to take things out on his mother, as a way of offloading his pain onto her. He also gained some hard-line opinions on drugs and their users. He even became intensely paranoid, of his family and of the world. While he hated his father, his lessons about the various factions of the spiritual world fueled Fionn's paranoia.
When not being trained by his father, Fionn took lessons from his mother. She taught him languages, such as English and Irish Gaelic. He was homeschooled in more traditional things as well, such as math and history. In his free time, Fionn would read books on religion, history, and language.
↪Rise to Power
At age 8, Fionn’s Quincy powers awakened and his training to control them began in earnest. Despite his hatred for his father, he quickly learned new techniques and grew his power. He soon discovered his power: the ability to heal others. Unbeknownst to Fionn at first however, was that all the damage or disease he healed were actually transferred to someone else. In the following years, he explored the extent of his power - learning its limitations and its true nature.
As the years passed and he grew, both in age and in strength, Fionn also became more and more bitter and deceitful. When he was allowed to travel to the city, he would steal and vandalize. He would trick old women into giving him money by slathering dirt on himself and coming up with stories of ill siblings.
Shortly after he turned 11, his father left for Japan on an “official Quincy summons”. He never returned. While his mother Nessa was heartbroken, Fionn was overjoyed. No longer would he be lorded over or beaten down. He began his own training regimen, utilizing everything within his father’s bunker to expand on his own powers. He healed his mother’s broken heart with his powers, raising her spirits.
His mother soon enrolled him in a Catholic school designed to groom children for priesthood. While Fionn never believed any of the religious teaching he was given because of his knowledge of the spiritual world, he absorbed everything he was taught. He learned countless hymns, prayers, and blessings.
He would escape from the school on the weekends, going home to home in a priest outfit - claiming to be a “son of god” come to heal their ills. While he was usually turned away, he was sometimes allowed in. The boy would heal people with “prayers and god’s touch”, and then request a donation. He would then go spend this money, almost hypocritically, on cigarettes. He quickly adopted this as his new, hidden hobby.
At age 14, his mother had begun to run out of money and they had to move to the Isle of Man - where her own parents owned a meager home. Soon after arriving, Fionn begun to make his “faith-healing” outings into a more serious job. He crafted more elaborate stories, and even learned to trick people into thinking they were sick when they weren’t in the first place. He also began a short relationship with a girl on the island, one that left a lasting impact on him because it was real compared to his later ones. The relationship ended when Fionn got angry and hit her during an argument.
Fionn’s thirst for his Quincy powers to grow was quenched when on one of his visits, he discovered an archaic old man whom he healed. The man had been a Quincy when he was younger and had recognized Fionn’s faith-healing for what they really were. He soon became Fionn’s new mentor. The old man would go on to forge out some of the damage left in Fionn from his father Niall. He was able to teach him to calm his anger issues, and he also taught him new Quincy skills.
The old man, Lenz Gegrämt, was already 87 when he began teaching Fionn. While it was a topic rarely brought up in Fionn's training, 'Lenny' was involved heavily in a spiritual conflict during the closing days of the German Theater of WWII. Originally assumed to be part of the anti-Nazi regime group Widerstand by his fellow conspirators, he was later revealed to be a spy embedded into their conspiracy by Kurt von der Öttinger, the leader of the Nazi's "Special Powers Division". While being tutored by a (former) Nazi hasn't left any overt impact on Fionn's philosophy, a few degrees of apathy certainly ingrained themselves in him.
While the old man was unable of fighting Hollows in his fairly advanced age, he taught Fionn what he needed to know to destroy them himself - which he soon did for the first time at age 15. After this, Fionn began a crusade across the island - destroying every Hollow he found and keeping an eye peeled for new ones. This continued for 2 more years, until Fionn’s healing powers weren’t enough to keep his mentor alive.
↪Call to Action
At 17 years old, Fionn had saved enough money from his healing to strike into the world. Leaving his family behind, he boarded a ship to France. He quickly learned the language and applied himself to his faith-healings. After a few months, he went to Italy. And then to Germany. Then to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia and more. After years of traveling, learning new languages, new religions, forging new licenses to go with his disguises, and slaying hollows, he arrived in far-off Japan.
Aside from his usual “work” he also has another agenda and reason for coming to Japan. To investigate what happened to his father, and if he’s still alive - kill him.

Though he loathes to do so, he shaves every morning. He wishes he could grow a large red beard - something he's fully capable of, but disallowed from doing in order to look correct in his priestly disguises. His hair is soft and has a nice sheen, and he showers every other day to keep it so. He uses strawberry shampoo & conditioner and Irish Spring body soap. It reaches well past his shoulders, though he often has it tied up behind his head or pushed into a hat if the occasion calls for it. He also carries a bald cap for when any of his religious disguises require a shaved head. He has pierced ears and wears captive bead earrings - one red and one green.
His eyes are a bright emerald-green, though some have said they look blue from far away. His scleras are often slightly bloodshot from staying up late. His eyelashes are longer than average and make his eyes look a little feminine, so he occasionally trims them with scissors. His eyebrows are dark red and have a sharp downturn at the end. There is a natural notch on the right one.
After many battles with Hollows, he's racked up a number of scars. There are 3 long claw marks on his back, diagonally. There is a vertical scar down right triceps and a horizontal one across his left knee. He also has a small scar on his chin from falling as a child, but it is right under the turn of his chin and only visible from below. Lastly, he has a scar on his left index finger from a time he "accidentally" sliced his finger off as a child. He actually has a number of tattoos: a Celtic triangle on his right shoulder-blade, an Ouroboros on the back of his right thigh, and a four-leaf clover on the back of his right ear where his mother would playfully grab him.
His voice is not too deep and not too high, but does raise considerably when talking fast. His voice also cracks when talking too fast, so he speaks very deliberately. Like many, he thinks his voice is deeper than it really is and dislikes listening to recordings of himself. He also somewhat mumbles when talking to family and friends.

↪Clothing
While fighting Hollows and other spiritual beings, Fionn wears a custom-made Quincy uniform in the standard style - except with wine-red accents in place of the normal blue. The inner layer of the clothes also feature this same wine-red color.
While relaxing or not "on the job" either killing hollows or doing faith-healings, he wears a dark blue suit with a white shirt underneath.
His main attire though is any of his many disguises. Catholic priest, Jewish rabbi, Islamic imam, and far more.
At home, he wears T-shirts of the bands he enjoy listening to - mostly pop-punk. The only things he always wears are a passed-down Tissot 1938 single-button chronograph with two-tone dial watch and a too-small titanium ring on his right pinky finger from an ex-girlfriend on the Isle of Man. He sometimes wears a four-leaf clover necklace with a black cord.
↪Positive Traits
- Charming: Over the years, Fionn has mastered putting on different disguises as well using his own natural charm to get people on his side. From his sharp, angular face and strong jaw line to his exhaustive knowledge of nearly all religions and folk customs, he is a master at getting people on his good side.
- Driven: Perhaps caused partly by his paranoia, Fionn is determined to find and uncover the "evil lurking beneath the surface" of not only the Quincy Order, but Soul Society and Hueco Mundo - and even the entire spiritual world order.
- Logical: Fionn, while not a psychopath, has very few emotions - particularly about others. He doesn't get caught up by relationships or anything else. He thinks of people as pawn pieces and the most he'll feel for the majority of people is annoyance at losing the opportunity to use them.
↪Negative Traits
- Amoral: Despite his priestly façade, Fionn holds nothing to be sacred. He's completely irreligious and amoral. He does not recognize normal moral boundaries, and will do whatever it takes to reach his goals. Torture, murder, deceit, and betrayal are all just tools to be used.
- Deceitful: If one word could define Fionn, this would be it. A master of disguise and a pathological liar, any who know of his tricks trust few of his words. He shares his true backstory and personality with only a select few, and often lies for no good reason about just about everything.
- Hypocritical: To Fionn, the rules only apply to others. He's quick to get infuriated at those that break rules, whether they be from some organization or a set cultures "moral standards" - despite breaking every last one in the shadows. And all the while, none of it bothers him.
- Paranoid: Intensely distrustful, Fionn innately believes everyone is out to get him. Caused by his mistreatment as a child, he finds it difficult to believe that something is just the way it is. He's convinced that everyone and every organization is hiding some dark secret from him.
↪Personality
On the surface and to anyone else at first, Fionn is a virtuous man of [insert religion here]. Even when he's not pretending to be a priest, he presents himself as kind and always willing to help. He tries to appear as a dignified gentleman of good taste and often studies the places he travels to appear more knowledgeable about any given place. When speaking to others, he quickly begins to act more like them - claiming to like the things they like and have the same hobbies and even jobs. Some people catch him there, but he's quick to dismiss it as them imagining it.
Fionn has a deeply flawed personality, perhaps even with few redeeming qualities. His main personality trait is his deceitful nature, he gets a high just from deceiving people. He feels slight relief from lying, even about things that are trivial and unimportant. He barely sees others as people, preferring to see them as containers of money or toys to be played with. When someone manages to see through one of his façades, he becomes quick to anger and aggressive.
He firmly believes in the Spiritual World, having seen and killed Hollows himself. He is highly distrustful of every aspect of it however and holds the perhaps-irrational view that something must be behind the scenes turning cogs. He holds no moral judgements against any of the races or worlds, but recognizes hollows as a danger to Earth. He differs dramatically from the standard Quincy worldview because of his maverick father's teachings and his own paranoia.
↪Goals
- Investigate his father's disappearance, then kill him if he's still alive.
- Infiltrate the Quincy Order to learn its "dark secrets".
- Learn about what forces drive the spiritual world, and their links to Earth, Hueco Mundo, and the Soul Society.
↪Achievements
- None yet.
↪Views on the Various Races
- Arrancar/Hueco Mundo [Hostile/Cautious]: While Fionn views Hollows & Arrancar as monsters, he sees Arrancar as slightly less monstrous - and at least wants to learn more about the way Hueco Mundo's structure works.
- Fullbringer/Humans [Neutral]: While Fionn sees normal humans as expendable and a source of income, he is intrigued by Fullbringers - and wonders if he could disguise himself as one and infiltrate one of their organizations.
- Shinigami/Soul Society [Hostile/Cautious]: While not personally hostile to them, he is well aware that most Shinigami will kill a Quincy with no restrictions and as such tends to avoid them if possible.
- Quincy/Quincy Order [Cautious/Allied]: While he is very distrustful of them and has a paranoid illusion that they're all hiding something, on the surface he is allied to them. (And hides the fact if he breaks any of their tenants.)
- Others [Cautious]: Due to his paranoid and distrustful nature, Fionn will be cautious to any other factions he encounters.
↪Relationships
- Abel Bayard [Cautious]: After a short encounter, Fionn is unsure how he feels about Abel. While something about him intrigues Fionn, the Fullbringer has shown him nothing but suspicion.
- Cressida Schade [Neutral]: Having helped her cure her "spiritual blockage", Fionn feels like he should keep an eye on her in the future - perhaps she'll be indebted to him.
- A.H. [Cautious]: While not personally hostile to them, he is well aware that most Shinigami will kill a Quincy with no restrictions and as such tends to avoid them if possible.

He cannot heal himself with this power.
All wounds, diseases, etc. are transferred to someone else. (Typically a random normal human.) He cannot choose who will be the receiver.
Fionn takes a small percentage of damage “healed”, excluding diseases and similar conditions.
(OOC: Will handle mechanics after app acceptance, likely will involve charges and moving down by a set # of wound ranks.)
↪Spirit Weapon
Fionn's spirit weapon comes in the form of a simple, old Irish longsword. The sword as a whole is about 150cm, of which 25cm is the grip.
In accordance with his Catharsis ability, anyone stabbed or touched with any part of the weapon can be healed by Fionn's power.
