The hand on Fionn's watch ticked to 12. He let his arm drop to his side with a heavy sigh. Barely midday and already exhausted. So far he'd already visited 5 homes and cured 6 people - on a good day this wouldn't be a problem at all, yet his exhaustion was compounded from his lack of sleep.
With all the "business" lately, his hands had been full all week. The computer chair he was sitting in creaked as he leaned back. Still shaken from his visit to Hueco Mundo, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and started to smoke one. Dragging on the cigarette until it fell apart into the window-sill ashtray, Fionn looked out the window.
Birds chirped in the afternoon air and in the distance he could make out a small sandwich shop. "About time for lunch, I guess." Snubbing the cigarette out, he whipped on a business suit and heading out of his room. His dress shoes clacked against the beaten-up tiles of the motel hallway. Should enjoy myself, not every day I get to relax for lunch.
As he walked, he thought about his time so far in Karakura town. Word had begun to spread of the 'miracle healer', though none of the rumors could agree on what religion this priest was of. Maybe it's time to slow down and relax for a while. Opening his wallet, he was greeted with a brick of 10,000 and 5,000 yen bills. A slight grin came to his face. Maybe so.
A short few minutes later and Fionn found himself sitting outside the sandwich store, already having ordered a hot pastrami. Out of his coat pocket he pulled a book. 'Trickery for Dummies'. Smiling, he began to turn the pages. Can never get too good at the basics.
The waiter set down the sandwich in front of Fionn, who quickly shut his book and dug in. His mouth watered as he brought the first bite into his orifice. Just as the flavor started to hit him, he felt a small-but still significant spiritual pressure approaching. With a sigh he set the sandwich back down onto the place. Can't tell what it is, but it's probably another human. Swiveling around, he caught a glimpse of a fairly short young man about his own age walking down the street. His black hair stood out against his somewhat whiter-than-usual skin, and Fionn could barely make out two green dots for eyes. Well, I was hoping for a relaxing lunch - but maybe this guy could make for a good source of information.
Fionn was still relatively new to the spiritual scene in Japan, so even if the man couldn't tell him much it'd still be good to make some new... friends. He waved at him and called him over. "Sir, could I have just a moment of your time to discuss the spiritual?"

He wondered if the man would be able to tell he was a Quincy. Fionn pulled a chair out for him, then sat down and waited for him to come over.
