The Schade estate was nearing the end of a rather blissful day full of peace and quiet. The day felt easy for everyone today, Cressida's schedule was rather free, the only real thing she had on her schedule was to meet with a potential star designer for her family's fashion company. Cressida was intrigued but was greatly annoyed that he refused to speak with anyone else as he was also selling his own business to merge with hers so both would benefit. After that, Cressida found her schedule wide open which became full immediately. Before lunch, she took Celeste out to the garden out front of the manor and had Celeste help her water some of the plants. Cressida knew that the hired maids would've gladly taken care of his, but she was grateful for any chance to spend time with her daughter as she could see that she too was enjoying this time. However what she was also glad to replace the memories of what happened outside her estate all those years ago. She had regrets, plenty of them after looking back on her life. She often wondered about that shinigami she slayed. She lived in fear of revenge for years, but in recent months hearing less and less about shinigami, she hadn't made any contact with any of them yet.
Afterwards Cressida led her daughter towards the front field across from the garden but led her through a particularly long route to back inside. Her life inside the manor was not completely peachy as can be expected given the situation. At lunch, Cressida would utterly ignore her mother as she would focus solely on her daughter if not reminded that she also needs to eat. Her mother, Evelyn, was not happy that she couldn't speak to her grandaughter directly without Cressida or Herbert, Cressida's grandfather around. While doing nothing directly to Cressida, Evelyn did not do what a proper parent should as Cressida was exposed to her father's abuse, and did nothing until Cressida confronted him. She only stayed at the manor because Cressida allowed her to stay, so she was afraid of walking on egg shell; Herbert knew that this wasn't healthy for either of them, but was glad that Cressida at least didn't kick her out. This unhealthy dynamic was only reinforcing the repeating history of Schades, which was a growing fear in Cressida's mind. Five years ago she wouldn't think such a fear could be terrifying, but it frightens her even just thinking about it being possible.
After lunch, Cressida put Celeste down for a nap so she could get some time for herself. She kept one of the baby monitors on her person and the app readily available on her phone. In the mean time she went out the garden to practice her swordsmanship, albeit being a parent now she hasn't let anything get in the way of her skill with the blade. However she was well distracted as she was keeping an ear out for the monitor, she was too worried about Celeste, and not from hollows or shinigami. As long as her mother was in the picture, she didn't like it one bit, while she never did anything wrong directly, she waited two decades too late to stop her father. After finished her typical training routine against the wooden dummy, she pulled both out into the shed behind the trees. After a quick shower she heard the monitor go off and gather reishi beneath her feet to flash step through the halls to quickly get to her child's room.
Shortly after, Cressida let Celeste play with toys in the study while she handled some paperwork until supper. Afterwards in the evening, Cressida took advantage of the beautiful weather and light as she took a blanket and some toys as well as a book out to the field, underneath a tree just off the main path towards the manor. Catching up on her reading as she let her daughter crawl about until she fell asleep on her lap. Cressida was enjoying the orange sky lighting the area as the warm wind breezed through. "This has been a nice day, huh."
