Noriko took a seat on the deck outside her home, peaceful days such as the one she was having were getting rarer and rarer, so she wanted to take some time to enjoy this one. She took a long sip from her chai tea and reflected on how far she had come in the past few years, she had elevated herself to the lieutenant position of the Second Division, and though the spot had been vacant for a little while she still took pride in the work she put in to get it. She had always tried to embody what she thought the Second Division was and should be. She kept silent and quiet, watching and observing everything she could, though at times she felt sad. She wished that she would have interacted with people a bit more, she didn't have many friends, and she was getting busier and busier by the day so she didn't have that much time.
The Lieutenant thought about the future as she watched a group of Shinigami attempt to clean some of the walls of the seireitei, while another group was trying to rebuild some of the fortresses walls. Noriko drew a long sigh and took another sip from her tea. She was beginning to doubt the Shinigamis future, perhaps they would die out soon, however, she hoped that that wouldn't mean the end of the Rukongai, and hopefully, the world would find some new way to maintain balance. Maybe the Quincy would take up the torch of fighting the hollows?
Noriko finished up her tea, the woman donned her uniform, tying the lieutenant badge tightly on her shoulder, and fixing Fuyukage to her waist. She would continue on the way she always had until she met her end, watching and observing everything she could, striking when it was necessary but sticking to the shadows. It was what suited her.
