Tokyo, Japan; 3:47 PM. The sky above the harbor capitol was a portrait of grey and opaque, small cracks in the clouds revealing what little faint rays of sunlight there were to be had. Small, light tears fell over the city, cascading the earth and manmade structures in a paper thin layer of water; there was just enough dampness and humidity in the air to possibly make one’s stubborn hair frizz. A group of Ganguro girls squealed as this was the case, and shuffled quickly from the sidewalk into a nearby mall to gather their bearings and re-apply the caked on white makeup.
“Time and space bark to the moon; Hear the sky’s scream, and transcend the bridge of mortality.â€
A black hole opened just below the layer of clouds high above the mall. For a garganta, it was rather small, as the user herself had only recently learned the art of creating one. Stepping out from the darkness was a petite female, her short pink hair tucked messily into a bun below her left ear. Fringe hung above her eye, angled to the right asymmetrically. Chinese garments adorned her small frame, a long lavender sash tied around her waist as the clothes were only slightly too large and baggy. Thick black lashes lined the femme’s sincere sky blue eyes, which scanned the area with raised brows.
Cho Ah Amai, the former third seat of Squad six, was the questionable figure. The rip she’d created between worlds closed behind her, making the girl look over her shoulder nervously. It was the first time she’d been out on her own since she’d left the Soul Society, and she didn’t have even the faintest idea of what to expect. Only having been to the human world a handful of times for brief missions and the like, Cho Ah was incredibly apprehensive about descending towards the rooftops, sidewalks, and streets below. A series of loud, high pitched cries broke the ex-noble from her thoughts, and the girl barely had time to see the flock of large Geese flying at her before being struck by many of them, more specifically by their powerful wings.
Shrieking in bewilderment and surprise, Cho Ah raised her arms protectively over her face and quickly descended downward in an array of stray feathers, two of which had gotten themselves stuck in her now somewhat disheveled hair. After a few moments, she landed soundly on the empty looking, chain link fence framed flat rooftop of the mall. A small building stood where a set of stairs led up from the lower level. Clothes dampened from the light drizzle, the Amai’s shoulders stiffened as her arms crossed just under her small chest uncomfortably. The feeling was easily readable on her face, nevermind the mannerisms.
