I've heard about it already.
It's not as terrible as everyone's making it out to be, simply because there's almost zero chance it will progress very far. Even if it does, even if it does reach the president's desk, he will be able to veto it, and he has said he will veto SOPA if it passed. In the extremely unlikely case that 2/3 of both houses vote to veto the veto, there will be so much backlash that they'll be forced to change it.
I think that they're going to soon support the other version of SOPA, the one with more due process. I forget what it's called at the moment, but said version is out there. Also, while I know that piracy, digital piracy that is, is a huge problem for America, SOPA doesn't help in the slightest because right now it's too broad, hence why I think they're going to support the other version of it.

Even if by some ungodly reason this passes and the President gives the OK and this becomes a law. It has such a stupidly broad view that the supreme court will be flooded with so many cases that it will be considered unconstitutional and be abolished.

The pizza thing is the exact reason I am a libertarian and believe the smaller the government the better, however sopa wise I have to say that the pushing back of the bill supposed to a vote might actually be better in that with it pushed back there shall be no resurgence in the time it takes congress to reconvene. I realize in an ideal world such a pitiful attempt by the entertainment industry in their ignorant self righteous crusade would be squashed like the bug I just hit with a book, it is better the vote be put off as long as possible for now and pocket vetoed by the president as he leaves office in this rather...corupt and sophomoric world.
Then again I live in the fantastical world where I can say penis on the radio and not lose my job, or I can get a doctor to euthanize me cause i am terminally ill and in such pain that i can not bear to live.
