There had been once a time, a time Kaito Amenawa was among the living. His body still warm of life and body solid in terms of bodily cells. His hair had been shorter and well kept. A Golden hairpin keeping the ears clearly visible. A strange accessory it was but the unique hairpin would illuminate his social status. The social status of the aristocrats of his particular clan. The fire clan he belonged to. Within the fire clan were different families. Amenawa, Yamanato, Ginho and Uzuno were the 4 main families. Kaito himself was born under the Amenawa. Amenawa evidently through the amount land that they possessed prooved to have the most influence among the 4 families. Next in line were the Uzuno. Yamanato and Ginho were of less power and influence.
Yamanato and Ginho owned small parts of the land amoung the Fire Clan. These indefinitely focused on the arts. Yamanato skilled in the art of wood works. Ginho skilled in the art of silver work, thus the name Gin. These two clans relied more on trade within the clan very dependant on the Giant Amenawa.
Amenawa had used their large plots of land for commercial uses. Breeding livestock for sale, planting various wheats for the market and owning hecters of fruit orchards. Apart from Agriculture, Amenawa had the 4th largest metal works under their control. Responsible for creating a vast amount of weaponry for the Japanese Empire. However the most notable form of trade they were involved in was gun powder. Potassium Nitrate in the black powdered form that would exlode upon reaching a certain tempreture.
Uzuno, owned much smaller section of the lands. The land in size almost similiar to Yamanato and the Ginho. The Uzuno family focused on military force. Training elite soldiers that often sprung generals and commanders during Japanese Campaign and punitive forces. The fighting styles amoung the Fire clan being devolped by the Uzuno clan. Uzuno had managed to get most of it's power due it military strength. Uzuno came to be the soldiers of the Fire clan.
With a brief description being set the story returns to the childhood of Kaito Amenawa. The grandson of Hitachi Amenawa. It would be his eldest son's 3rd wife, was Kaito concieved. The 3rd wife being the youngest having the favour of the Father. The result obvious that Kaito would have gotten the most attention out of all his half brothers and sisters. The 6 year old boy being pampered and groomed by the servants.
This little favourtism had caused a ruckus. Customary as it was that the first wife would recieve the most servants directly under her. However the 3rd wife by far had more servants attending two her. Her residence in the Main Buidling, with the Father. The 1st wife, not being the jealous type had no problems. It was the 2nd wife who had taken high offense. The offense, not because of customary laws being broken but out of jealousy. This would be root of evil. The 2nd wife urging the 1st to speak with the Husband. The 1st wife pressured by her sons and servants agreed to the 1nd.
A year after that... the 3rd wife was banished to live away from the Amenawa family. Yamanato was where she now lived with her son Kaito. However the bitter jealousy of the 2nd had not stopped their. The husband would every two weeks across the whole land to be with his 3rd wife and play with his son Kaito. Though she now had less servants that the 1st.. the 3rd had more servants and riches than the 2nd. Something ugly sprouted within the 2nd.
Timeroll a few months later.
There was a loud knocking on the door. A timid servant opening the door. A throng of masked men burst into house. Their drawn swords were quickly reddened by the screaming slave. Their mission was killing everyone in the household of the 3rd wife. Quickly the men had made through the small branch house. The servants mainly women unable to resist the the highly trained assassin of the Uzuno. Soon they had entered the main quaters. A little boy and a young girl in her early 20's cowering from them. They were killed. The men of Uzuno had set the house to flames to destroy the evidence. However at that precise moment. Gaurdians of 1st son had arrived. Confused an angered by the assault did the gaurds retaliate against the Assassins. Even the Assassins of Uzuno could not handle the Elite gaurds of the Main Family.
Among this chaos had Kaito woken up. His left shoulder cut as cold blood flowed out from his body. With his right hand he had wiped away a tear as he looked for his own servants. The old lady and the man. They were his personal attendants. He could not find them. He cried out for his mother. Men dressed in black robes were being cut down by the men who was always with his father. Holding back tears Kaito followed the men Deep into the house. Dead people lay upon every turn of a corner. Planks and brooms in their hands showing their futile resistance. The gaurds walked into a room which Kaito had recognized as his mother's room. The men dropped their weapons as they all cried out aloud. Upon the bed of the room were two bodies. The one was his mother. Kaito was now crying again. Reaching out a cold hand towards his lifeless mother. He tuggeg at her hand but he could not touch it. Kaito cried out even more. A man walked in, his father, with a grim face he picked up his mother. Kaito stopped crying... shock filled him. Under his mother's dead body was Kaito. Kaito was lying on the bed, a large cut on his left shoulder. The gaping wound stained crimson with blood. what was this?
An older Kaito opened his eyes. The room clouded with the night darkness. Thin rods of moonlight filtering through the window panes. Sweat lined his forehead as well as his back. Kaito let out a deep sigh as he rubbed his eyes with his forefingers. Again he had dreamed about it. Walking about burning corridors dead people with no faces lining the path. His dream was always so vivid but when he woke up only sketches of the dream would be remembered. Why was the dream always repeating itself? Was it to do something with his past? There was a child... Kaito moved to a sitting position. His feet half stretched out from the futon. Kaito removed his damp shirt. Throwing it into a pile of more damp shirts. This was tonight alone. Every few hours the dream would haunt him then run away as soon as he reached the end of dream. What was this? Why did the room in his dream remind him so much of his zanpakuto's innerworld?
