I'm disappointed to see that the things that enrich the site, (such as the game itself and it's improvement) be pushed to the side so regularly on the site. It would be nice to see the game come first, over politics, over personal issues from player to player, and over cases of jealousy.
But what's even worse is the constant venting and public pleas that get treated like valid threads, and placed on mantles at the front of the site: site discussion & whatnot. Stop airing out your problems and misdoings like they are a part of site business, and put them in the vent threads where they belong. If you act like a dick and people think you're a dick, you aren't going to wash your hands clean by telling on yourself in front of everyone. Please stop the pity parties.
Staff: set the example and stop pouring fuel on the fires of site drama. Don't endorse it simply because others "ignore" the complaints. Obviously, if the complaints are being rallied on another site instead of posted validly in this thread, they are going to be seen as nothing more than bitter people being bitter.
Anyone who has been here for as long as I have, should remember what personal emotional outpours on the board do to site.

Can you be more specific Roash? Are you talking about the Cho thread or about the various "Im sorry" threads? If the former that has been addressed with the thread starter and if the later then your right they don't really belong in Site Discussion but they are an attempt to soften previous words by recanting the actions (not ideal but better than nothing).
If you can be more specific however I think we can help this issue.
As far as the game being pushed aside... Staff are still working on improvments even during this and we cannot force people to RP if they choose not to. I'm afraid that is an issue that staff cannot fix as the actions of each player are their own.

I admit that I was being vague, but only to keep from being too harsh on the people guilty of making the threads. But I'm speaking specifically about personal threads like, but not limited to the apology threads. Personal threads should be treated like vent threads, not like dire site events. Matters of the ego are matters of self-importance to a degree, but never a matter of site discussion and operation.
Also, I would like to apologize if I'm coming off as callous in my first post, or even now. I'm not trying to insult or hurt anyone, and I think coming to terms with things is great, but it doesn't belong in site discussion.

As it happens I agree (personal opinion) that they shouldn't be there but since there is no instantly evident place to put them I have made it a staff issue to address. When there is some sort of firm idea of whats going on or what has been done this thread will be addressed again.

This issue has been resolved, the indicated threads were moved and future personal threads such as "Im sorry" or the like will be moved from Site Discussion without diliberation from staff. We are discussing how we might make such threads easier to find for people but for the moment such threads will be put in the Off Topic board.

It won't even stop then. You'll just have more instances of Bitch Gotei or PM/IM grievance fests. It'll be like what happened a few days ago. If you shrug off problems they fester and fester until they burst, which what happened. The best course of action is to have a friendly staff that is willing to make sacrifices for the community and a community that is willing to let their issues be heard.

The issue presented were that the "Im Sorry" topics should not be in the Site Discussion section, as noted when I asked Roash for clarification. Seeing as they are not in the Site Discussion section anymore and are in the Off Topic section where things like the vent thread are this topic is indeed solved. If you have a seperate issue Jasper please to post it and provide enough specifics so that staff know what exactly the problem is. Please however use another thread instead of hijacking Roash's, just to be polite to him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, even if people decide to take offense to it. Anyone who creates and posts on poisonous sites like that-which-has-been-named clearly have NO desire to be heard. They wish to vent, which, in my opinion, is perfectly fine -- until that venting is treated as if they are valid complaints. So Roash, I agree with you. And, while I'm uncertain as to what I could have done to prevent it in my absence, I will endeavor to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
I have zero tolerance for the perpetuation of drama. I will not stand for it. Period.
