”Once more into the fray... Into the last good fight I’ll ever know...”
Jason stepped out of the black void of the Garganta and onto the hard, stone floors of the Primera Castle, his blood red eyes easily adjusting to the difference in lighting. Without a second thought, Jason watched the Garganta close behind him, his Fullbring blade instantly appearing in his left hand, the weapon already in it’s highest state of release. He had never given the weapon, or power, a name like he had Rulebook, but now, as he stared at the jagged, wicked silver and black blade, Jason wondered. What should I call this? This weapon of death and destruction, forged from my own hate and fear. What should I call you? Absently, Jason spun the weapon in his hand tossing it between his two palms as he walked down the long, wide corridor that would take him to the man known as Titus Arkhan.. The Primera Espada, strongest of the Sword in Hueco Mundo. Or, at least, thats what he was supposed to be. To Jason, he was nothing more than a man. A man that he had fought long ago, a man that, even now, filled him with the desire to destroy everything around him. To rip the realm of Hollows apart, molecule by molecule, until it was no more.
And that was why he was here. Why had he knew, with every fiber of his being, that he had to fight this man once more. Because that feeling, that hatred, that burning, agonizing pain would never go away until he did so. He could feel it, coursing through the scar on his arm. He could feel it calling to him, daring him to draw on it and fulfill every last one of his childhood dreams. And he wanted to. Oh, how he wanted to just let go and destroy everything. It would be easy. So easy... But that was why he resisted. Taking the easy path, that was what he had done his whole life. Until he met Kara. She had changed him, even though his time with her had been brief. She had shown him what life was like without hate, without fear. Without the pain of his past. And then, she had left. Not because he didn’t deserve her, or the happiness she brought him. But because he had to get there on his own. He had to be able to do what she did for him without help, without other people. Without her. Only then, when he was finally whole again, could he truly be happy. Yet another reason to do this...
As he walked down the long, wide corridor towards the Primera’s main room, Jason passed by many an Arrancar, some big, some small, some weak, some strong. All them were curious as to who he was and why he was here, but none dared come near. Many recognized his blade, recognized the fear and pain that went into making it. Recognized the pain and despair it had inflicted upon them, or a soul within them. Those that did, fled. Many others, however, did not. His power kept the Arrancar away, if only because of how frightening pure it was. All who sensed it knew: This man, this Mortal, Human man, was here for one thing: A duel. A duel between himself, and the most power Arrancar in Hueco Mundo. The Primera Espada, Titus Arkhan. Those that did not laugh off his challenge as foolish, or suicidal, did but one thing. They followed. Who was this Human, who was willing to walk through the land of the dead to challenge a monster? Whispers filled the growing crowd behind Jason as he cleared his mind of all thoughts, emptying himself to the point that there was nothing but himself He was the crowd behind him, the sword in his hand. He was the stone beneath his feet, and the sword in his hand.
He wished that sword to be stronger, thinner, more deadly, and in an instant, it was. He felt the blades history flow into him, strengthening his muscles and soul in a way that no other weapon could. This was it. Here, before him, was the door that would take him to his destiny. It was a massive thing, nearly five times his own height, carved entirely from two stone slabs. Without a thought, Jason lifted his blade, the weapon flowing through a sword form known as “The Cyclone Rages”. Each swing of the blade cut through the stone slabs as if they were but paper, until, suddenly, he stopped. Gashes, cuts, and rends had already covered the door. It was time. With but a flick of his right hand, the door fell, and the last obstacle between him and Titus Arkhan fell. Finally, it was time. ”Titus Arkhan! You know who I am! I the one who walks in your dreams, just as you are the one who walks in mine! Come! It is time we ended the duel we started that day in the deserts of Hueco Mundo, the duel that nearly cost us our lives. Come, Primera Espada! I challenge you, according to the ancient rules of your kind!” Come, and show me just what path my life must take to defeat you.
