I think that shot of her was just to show that she was still alive. Somehow I doubt there being this kind of suspense regarding HIYORI of all characters. Grimmjow as the trollsman swinging at Urahara would make the most sense. And they all get together to roflstomp that cage. Go to Soul Society. Loyd Royd was two people. Juha Bach tried to recruit Aizen to his army, but failed. He stole Yama's Bankai, which Yama was wrong about being unstealable, and struck the old man down.

It's been an hour... and I'm still lol'ing over Aizen in bondage gear.
Anywho, major trollage. Kubo fucked over some awesome explanations for why Yama and Ichi's bankai couldn't be stolen, instead choosin' to go with "they're just too strong." Really hopin' the scene goes back to Hueco Mundo and Urahara/Grimmjow kickin' some serious ass.

I'm not understanding...
You go out of your way to blow up the place where Aizen is kept, bother talking to him, and then when he refuses to help you...thats it? Effort wasted? What was the point?! Especially when you know ahead of time that he's going to refuse you because you are very well below him as an immortal being with Hogyoku magic plot-powers...I was really looking forward to a badass reunion, just Aizen coming out in black with his Zanpakuto and stabbed Yamamoto in the back. That would've be sweet shit.
Instead I get a story about twins with weird names and barely explained powers...okay Kubo...I guess I'll take that...
I actually don't have a problem with that. He says that he doesn't mind that Aizen turned him down because they have a lot of time- I.E. he's expecting Aizen to reconsider after rotting in there for a while longer.
The powers, though... That's a bit tricky, because unless it reads better in the original Japanese, there's a problem with how they're described. If Loyd got the ability to copy powers and Royd didn't, then why did Loyd effortlessly lose to Kenpachi while Royd won (or if Royd swapped with Bach after the Kenpachi fight, held his own against Ryujin Jakka)? All I can think is that 'powers' specifically refers to techniques, but then Royd-as-Bach did the incantationless Sankt Zwenger... The only other explanation is that Royd is naturally just that strong, which should mean that Loyd is that strong too, which should mean that he shouldn't have lost to Kenpachi.
Arglebargle. Never mind. Related topic, for my now-semi-regular speculation/bet thing: When do you think Royd switched with Juha Bach (Or Yhwach, according to Viz)? My bet is after the Kenpachi fight but before Yama arrived, for a number of reasons: One, it's only after then that Blondie stops referring to him as 'your Majesty'. Two, the aforementioned how-could-Royd-have-won-against-Kenny thing. Three: It would explain why 'Bach's' personality was only subtly off during the Yama fight and not before.

I also find it ridiculous Kubo would go the undead army route. To quote Juha Back in the previous chapter, "no Zanpakutou has a Shikai and a Bankai that use different abilities." How the hell do you get an army of undead soldiers from a fire-type Zanpakutou?
I think I can field that one. I once explained how Goku made SSJ3 as opposed to Vegeta, and THAT'S explaining the impossible.
And I cheated and found it on the Bleach Wiki.
"Zanka no Tachi, Minami: Kaka Jūmanokushi Daisōjin (残火の太刀 "南": 火火十万億死大葬陣,Longsword of the Remnant Flame, South: Great Burial Ranks of the Ten Trillion Fire Dead): Yamamoto impales the tip of his sword into the ground and calls upon the corpses, the ashes of the dead who were killed by his flames to come forth and fight on his behalf for a amount of time.[146] Using the heat of his sword on their ashes, he can rouse the all the people he has killed. Allowing the corpses to become his limbs and attack whomever he deems as his enemy until they become dust."
So he literally summons the souls of those he incinerated, and makes them into zombies according to the ashes of those he is responsible for creating. Makes perfect sense to me; I would have thought of it.
Well that raises an interesting possibility that these Quincy are still human. Maybe. Except our dear Juha who seems to be 1000 years old.
Man really stacked the deck in his favor.
Well, if he'd just sat on his ass for the last 1000 years and not done a blind thing to try and improve things, he wouldn't be worthy of leading a major military power.
Correct. Aizen's melding with the hogyouku turned him truly immortal, so it is impossible to kill him. As such, the Central 46 did the only logical thing remaining to do and locked him away deep within the Maggot's Nest (I'm guessin', since it is their inescapeable prison).
Correction: Aizen was imprisoned in Nth +1 level of high-security underground prison, lying under 1st Division HQ. This is a different facility alltogether from the Nest, which is less a prison and more of an asylum.
It's a common misconception, but Maggot's nest is not, strictly speaking, a prison. You go to a prison if you commit a crime, usually after a trial. You go to the Nest before you ever commit anything, just because you're considered too unstable to serve in Gotei. You don't even get a trial.
I doubt he even knows, but he just ruined what was one of the best fights in the series. <img src='http://www.bleach-gotei.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_e_sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Are rumours for 511 out already, or are you talking about 510? Because if you are then I simply can't agree with it being 'one of the best fights in the series'. Now I know that opinions are subjective and there's no point arguing about them, but... I honestly didn't see a fight happen at all. I saw Yama find increasingly unconvincing ways to link compass directions to things that were likewise increasingly unconvincingly linked to flame, but I didn't see two people fight. For me, it failed on that level alone.
