What's a skyline without trees? Is it summer without bees? Can I go a day without a few burns? Do I want to? My stomach turns.
My world may be small but I still call it home. I don't want to travel. I don't want to roam. Leave me to my forest. To a sun that won't quit. Don't put me elsewhere. I simply won't fit.
Born and raised. That is my pride. I know I'm not fibbing. I haven't lied. A work stolen from trees that ache to steal back. I couldn't love it more. Cut me some slack.
Words fail me. My muse is fleeting. I guess I'll end this pathetic bleating. People search lifetimes for a place of their own. I already have mine. Georgia is my home.
I do like your poetry. I'm a sicker for poetry. Feel free to get a mod to delete my post if you like. I just find derailing a thread the best way to get people to see it.
About time I dusted this off. Almost a year is a good fermentation period. Anyhow, just sitting here at work, minding my business and trying to make tests work. I have a video playing on a side monitor, and in a casual scan of the image that was on screen... Well, I'll simply direct your attention to the name of the red potion in the lower left hand corner and leave you to wonder what Geralt of Rivia, Witcher and certified badass, is doing with such a potion.
I have no doubt Scar over there gets around, but he seems to more exclusively deal with humans of the female variety. Then again, they're witches, so they've probably experimented with self transformation.
A group of six find a powerful wish granting item. Over the course of seven days, they have fun as logic of these situations dictate, but with each wish, irrevocable damage is done to their reality as the natural laws are bent, twisted and broken to meet their demands. On the final day, the item destroys itself, its powers depleted. On the next day, seemingly extraterrestrial beings invade, led by a single humanoid woman. All of humanity save the six are wiped out in hours. Rather than kill the six upon discovering them, the woman informs them that she and the invasion are their fault. Their meddling having created a horrible disease known only as the "Future Plague" which ravaged earth later on in the timeline they would have lived had they never found with wishing object. She also informs them that, unfortunately, while she and her seemingly extraterrestrial horde may seem like the end of the world, there are much worse things headed their way, also nightmare'd into existence by the repercussions of the wishing object.
