The vain struggling of the Savage did nothing more than agitate the chains that bound her. The golden lasso coiled tighter around the floundering Hollow to combat her attempts to blindly beat it to death. Only the sound of her mindless roars heralded the explosive crack that defeaned the two of them and bleached the darkness. Somewhat similar to the sound of a tense Bala finally being set loose, Eve mused. Though the most intimidating sound by far was the cackling that danced along the bloodied floors and swirled around the enclosed area. Twisted and filled with ecstasy, the maniacal laughter bled out murmurs of encouragement, as if having her arm blew off fueled the Savage and her pursuit of death.
Such a strange thing to want, given she had supposedly worked so hard to be born.
Eve's amusement was squashed by the Savage pulling herself upright and pushing forward with a sudden toss of a broken blade. Eyes wide and reflexes kicking in, Eve's hand twitched towards her sword. Not without Samyaza. Her expression hardened the second before the sword began to glow with a startling fierceness. The Vaizard had just enough time to shout a generic "Hadou!" before another explosion rocked the area.
Once again, her vision was white washed, though this time she didn't have the luxury of anticipating the blow. It was only by the sound of a sharp crack that Eve's senses returned. Fingers gripped the burning lance in her hand as the Savage's claws slashed against it. The Hadou -- now more like a Shunkou, though Eve had no idea of knowing this -- chomped down on the first assault, lightning eating away viciously at the blackened fingers. Though, that was all it could bear before it fizzled out and Eve was left unarmed.
Each slash tore into Eve's side or snapped against her forearm, though it was the words that caused the most trauma. Every slash rang with that accusatory tone, lashing away at her mind until she felt the anger finally well up inside of her. Physical wounds healed. They stitched together endlessly with only minor thought. But the words? They cut something Eve's Regeneration couldn't touch.
"Shou!" She suddenly spat. "Age Uke!"
Like a bullet, her arm shout out to catch the Savage's inner elbow to tangle an incoming attack. From there, her free hand reached for the Hollow's stomach, though never actually touched it. She didn't need to. From her palm an invisible force exploded through the Savage's gut and sought to shove her as far back as possible. Far enough to hit the wall of the barrier. Far enough to vanish in the darkness. Far enough to not exist in Eve's private little world.
But the comfort only lasted a brief moment before Eve roared out and lunged forward. Blood kicked up and around her as her Reiatsu flared to life and shaped the thick liquid into a temporary barrier. With just her sharp movement forward, the blood was expelled from all around her, splattering against walls and swords alike as she parted it like the red sea it was. Only by the grace of the Savage being wounded was Eve atop the monster in mere moments.
"I'm the liar?!" She barked as her fist met flesh, from the contact spurted another burst of the Shou attack. "Look at you! Hiding under someone else's skin for how long?" Anger turned each punch into a vicious strike at the Savage's soul. Her Hadou accented by the force of her punch served as a true fight between souls. "Pretending you're stronger! Better! Smarter! You are just an infant locked in a basement!"
Beginning along her cheek bones, white bubbled to the surface. It oozed around her flesh like an irritated pimple, slowly gaining traction as anger turned to downright fury.
"Abandoned by the other half of your soul!" Another punch, this time to the face. "Abandoned by your own sense of self worth!" Eve's fists became coated in the energy, bringing to life sparks of electricity with each punch. "You're nothing more than the scum at the bottom of my shoe, desperately trying to find self worth in the pain of others! Disgusting! Parasite! Weak!" Her voice was a morphed cry of Wishes'. Deeper, condescending, and unrelenting, his voice was a far cry from the tender and welcoming tone Eve had adopted.
By the time her punches had turned into facsimiles of lightning strikes, the mask had complete covered her face. Elegant and slick, it covered her mouth and hid away any features aside from two slits. Yellow eyes glared through the peepholes and three feathers on each side of her head burned with a different hue of the rainbow. They shifted with each second, perfectly blending into the one below them before cycling through. It looked as if wet paint was running along them.
"You're so fucking desperate for attention that you act like this just to get someone to notice you?!" Her words were never aimed at the Savage. "Hiding behind others -- hiding behind your own pitiful attacks!" The Savage was just a convenient excuse.
"IS ANYTHING ABOUT YOU REAL?"
