Hueco Mundo was a quiet place despite its violent nature. Occasionally one could hear the distant echoes of Hollow-breeds getting into altercations of tooth, claw, and Cero but the white desert was, for the most part, quiet. Today was not one such day, however. Verbrennung was still in the area of Las Noches, letting pale sand seep and sizzle between charcoal toes, when she had felt a battle near Las Noches. Odd. While she was too far away to see what was going on, it felt like an Arrancar and a Shinigami much to her surprise. Why would a Shinigami be here of all places? By the time she arrived within seeing distance of Las Noches, she saw no one around— though— there were clear signs of a battle having taken place.
Verbrennung held her chin as she examined the various craters and wall damage from afar, her senses perked as she did so. Red eyes slid to her left as she noted the approaching presence of a handful of Shinigami. What was going on? A revenge raid, perhaps? She took to the eternally night skies via Sonido for a bird’s eye point of view, plus she knew she couldn’t hide her dark form amongst the white sands.
Almost a half an hour later, the Arrancar woman and her bird companion observed a lone Shinigami making his way through the sands near Las Noches. The way his head moved from side to side was as if he was looking for something… She slowly trailed a finger about the circumference of one of her palm-bound Hollow holes as she contemplated her next move. How awfully curious she was as to what this man and his companions were doing in these wild deserts.
Verbrennung descended towards the figure, doing her best to cloak her reiatsu (and thus the smell) as she set charcoal foot to blanched sand a decent distance behind him. The Raven remained circling above.
“You and your fellows shouldn’t be here, though I assume you know that, Shinigami.” She called out, “Why are you here?”
