I'm only proctoring. Somebody gets too into it I'll give them a slap but nothing more.
New page requires pushing the idea to it.
Anyone interested in a rough a tumble impromptu battlefield training thread?
Officially sanctioned as training.
Participants will be broken into two teams. These teams will fight it out in a single thread.
Fights will be one on one till a participant is defeated. Victors are encouraged to aid their teammates in defeating their opponents.
This will allow participants a chance to experience fighting in close to battlefield conditions. For those that have experienced combat in earnest this is but practice but for those who've yet to see actual warfare this could be a life saving lesson.
The training will be monitored by myself and if someone goes for a death blow on someone I'll intervene.
All interested in participating should put "Sapphire Earrings" in their reply to this topic. I'll kick this thread off a week from Saturday on the 15th of July.

(Having this all be a single thread sounds like a cluster-fuck and a half. People before you have tried this and failed. Make it separate threads happening at the same time.)
My recommendation? Depending on the number of people involves have it 2v2 or 3v3 in each thread and each thread can make references to the other threads. This also helps the entire event if one person goes AWOL.

That had been the plan from the beginning depending on turnout.
