Aodh stumbled down the street, luckily it was nearing 22:00 and so he was earning less looks of utter disgust than he had while drunkenly making his way around Berlin at 15:00. This out of character behaviour was Aodh’s fault, well not really, he had been out for a morning cup of coffee in the city having decided to take some time off for once. Besides the castle was so close that there wasn’t any real reason why he shouldn’t. Well he knew just the coffee joint too, after all he had went to University in this very city. That was where everything had fallen apart.
During his quiet coffee stop where he’d been quietly reading a book, a book he’d now lost somewhere along the way, he had ran into some of his former friends from University. They’d all went out for a few drinks together. It had only been 11:00 or so, the plan had been to grab a few pints and catch up. After 3 hours the group had gotten a little tipsy. Unfortunately Aodh’s general social awkwardness had driven him to drink a little harder than he should have to try and relax around these people who were basically strangers to him at this point. It had worked but he had also gotten very, very drunk. While everyone talked about their families, jobs and hobbies Aodh had grinned and kept drinking, lying through his teeth about why he was now in Berlin. After all saying “Yeah folks I was a teacher in Japan but I quit to become a full time Ghost Monster hunter using my magical archery powers to protect the Feudal secret Kingdom of the Ghost Hunters known as Quincy.” probably wouldn’t have went down all that well.
Once the others had to leave Aodh had decided he’d rather keep drinking, even alone, rather than returning to that unending pile of paperwork waiting for him back at the castle so he had wandered off to another bar, then another and another.
It was now 11 hours after he’d had his first pint and he was well gone. He stumbled up to a food stall where he grabbed a hotdog, then a burger, then another hotdog. Paying what could only be called considerably more than the food was worth he continued on his unsteady way.
Having made multiple attempts to enter a few nice looking bars he had constantly been turned away by the bouncers for being too intoxicated.
Bastards.
Feeling annoyed he pulled out his smart phone planning to complain to Calendrea but the device was dead…huh he must have forgot to charge it or maybe it had been all those youtube cat videos he watched earlier.
Oh well.
Stumbling down the street he paused at the door to a nightclub. Even from the entrance he could see lights dancing inside with loud, obnoxious, dance music. He hated these sorts of places. Loud and deeply unpleasant. Buuuttttt they sold drink so good enough.
Stumbling up to the Bouncer he give the man a foolish grin and was immediately waved inside. Success! The Suit Wearing Quincy entered the Nightclub.
Making his way to the bar he immediately ordered a Gin and Tonic, while waiting for his G&T he frowned. There was something...weird. He felt...OH! It was spiritual power, someone near the bar had spiritual energy. Looking around he eventually realised it was a big bearded man, not overly tall, but large standing down from him a little. His energy had that nice warm fuzzy feel to it...ahhh another Quincy.
Grabbing his drink he dropped down in a seat next to the man and grinned.
“So what do you do in the Order mate?” he asked in his Irish sing-songy accent.
Even as he sensed the man’s Reiatsu Aodh’s own Spiritual Power was completely unhidden. The drunk man had lost all restraint and his considerable Spiritual Strength was out in the open for anyone sensitive to such things to sense.
