The sands of Hueco Mundo were curious, they pulsed and sang with energy similar to just about everything that existed in the Soul Society. Cries of agony, no doubt a hollow was consuming another, could be heard in the distance proving the realm to be that much more sinister than Mirabelle already believed it to be. The air was stale, hardly mobile and thick enough to make breathing a chore.
Overhead, the sky hung dark and abysmal. A single crescent moon hung idly, the only distinguishable feature in the absence of stars. Trees that seemed constructed rather than grown dotted the white sands. In the distance, a vast looming castle stood reaching up into the sky. It seemed to be the only maintained structure from what she could see, ruins were noticeable but few and far between even in comparison to the trees.
Sand plumed in the wake of her footsteps, leaving a trail but her head was too weighted to care. Undoubtedly she would be tracked, by who or what she didn't care. The weight of Beldame in her hand was heavy, and the tip dragged through the sand. While she might not be entirely in sync with her zanpakuto spirit, Mirabelle was confident enough in her abilities that anything that found her would perish. Yet... something didn't feel right.
This wasn't about her though, or her troubles. She had a mission to do, and a partner to look after. The Fourth division needed a specific kind of hollow for research purposes, or that's what she'd been told anyway, and she and Nagisa were to retrieve it. Why they couldn't send a member of their own division was beyond her, but she wasn't about to question authority.
Picking Beldame up and placing her in her sheath, Mirabelle turned behind her for the first time since exiting the senkaimon. Her lack of radio made communication difficult, but not terribly so. She pulled her pad of paper out from it's pouch and began to write.
"Where would you like to search first? This is my first time traveling to Hueco Mundo, and I haven't a clue as to what exactly anything is with the exception of Las Noches." she turned the pad to the other woman, so she could read it. A shy smile spread across her face, at the slight embarrassment of her lack of experience. Mirabelle didn't even know if the other girl knew anything more than she did, but communication was going to be their greatest asset in the unfamiliar landscape and if Nagisa made assumptions based on what she thought Mirabelle knew it could quite possibly be their downfall.
