Good evening, my dear esteemed members,
Welcome to another edition of Kireon's incredibly bad ideas just bound to go into shitposting territory, starring... all of you! My rotten sense of humor aside, let's make this simple and clear cut for simplicity's sake:
This thread is for suggesting improvements to the site we all frequent and spend probably far too much time on to be healthy. This can range from "I would like to see a new ranking system implemented (and elaborate on why.)" to "I feel x aspect of the site is preventing us from progressing overall, we need to fix this and here's my ideas as to how." This is not a place to #ShotsFire at people, as tempting as it might be, and as justified as some may agree it is.
A tentative way I'd personally like to see this thread being used is something like the following:
What I feel BG does well:
What I feel BG needs to improve on:
How I suggest this can be done/fixed/improved upon:
--
Of course, being that this is my idea and thus should probably try setting a good example-- I'll start us off.
What I feel BG does well:
Encouraging and aiding other members in progressing. We've made huge strides from simply being tossed a grade with occasional feedback to thorough analysis and help on the strengths and weaknesses for new and old members alike. As someone who knows the value of constructive criticism? This is very much a good thing and something I highly encourage to be used whenever possible-- milestones and power/prestige/post prestige requests as well.
What I feel BG needs to improve on:
Integration. We still have an issue, particularly among the Shinigami and the Hollow, that make it incredibly difficult for new players, and even alternative characters, to really get their foot in the door and integrated into the site/division/etc as a whole and are left frustrated and, to an extent, demoralized. When the same handful of people are always running the show/getting the ball rolling/being showcased/Roleplaying together? It demoralizes others and leaves them feeling like nothing they ever do IC will ever remotely matter/be noticed.
How I suggest this can be done/fixed/improved upon: Hollow breeds... I'm genuinely not sure. This race seems to be the big sticking point for most people due to the layer of complexity and being Public Enemy #1 on everyone's shit list. I'd definitely encourage our Hollow/Arrancar players to please step forward and elaborate on what would help them not only progress personally, but contribute to the site as well.
Shinigami. I have ideas for you guys and it allllll boils down to having the Captains/Ranked Members of the squads do their jobs. Each division specializes in something; we need to be seeing more of that and more consistent interaction between the divisions to show why Seireitei even has them in the first place. Captains/Lieutenants can randomly throw something at a recruit as a test, send them out on a mission to collect something, to practice a skill, or train as a whole. Be involved in and with your Division if you're going to go for the haorii/title-- don't use it as a "Look how BAMF I am" badge. That said? Non ranked members of the Gotei? Do your job too; engage with each other. Team build by looking at the purpose of your division and get threads going on showing your work. Develop your skills together. As a military based organization? There should be no small amount of teamwork and team building exercises for when the shit hits the fan.
Don't rely only on your Captain/Lieutenant/etc to drag you along on your way to development; do the work yourself too. Everyone should benefit from being in a Division in some way.

And with that example being finished? Let the games begin!
(Staff, you guys are more than welcome to put your own perspectives in here too. I know I want to see what you guys see as an area of improvement, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the member base would probably like to see it too.)
Remember guys, keep it civil and keep it honest.
