Does this address the issue that's been cropping up lately of people getting annoyed at what staff is doing behind the scenes at all? I know in theory having more people from the outside looking in should in theory make some of those sentiments go away, but if they're not really supposed to say much then it doesn't really do a lot.
Seriously in the last month I know I've brought it to staff that transparency needs to be a thing because it feels like staff plays favorites, there was a recent outbreak in chat where someone else felt the same way, and they of course also had backers who felt as though things were being done unfairly. I know a lot of what staff does is behind closed doors, but I really feel like instead of having a review board of non-staff people reviewing potential updates the focus should be more on "How can we improve staff/member communication." Because there are a lot of questions that myself and people have that for some reason staff either doesn't answer, hasn't answered, gives Pseudo-Answer PR Bullshit answers to, or outright becomes hostile over and I feel like more clarity and less transparency would help with that. Obviously, obviously you can't be 100% transparent, there are business costs that go into running BG and sometimes personal stuff comes up that a staff member might inform the rest of staff about but not want getting out to the general public and I think everyone can understand and respect that, but I do feel like there are situations that arise that answers are required for and I don't really see how this will (if it even aims to) address any of it. If you think this is worthy of another topic that's fine and I'm totally okay with popping one up for that discussion but as this was about an update and future updates it seemed at least somewhat related and worth talking about.
