So I'm making a balanced DC-10 stack of Magic cards using Bleach-Gotei characters and ideas. Once I'm done we can even play against each other online (if you know how to play Magic...) using OCTGN, Cockatrice or Magic Workstation!
Note: These cards are not balanced for constructed play. They are intended to be played using DC-10 Rules and intended for multiplayer. DC-10 means no land, 10 mana per turn and all players draw from the same deck. That means if we play online we will both use decks that are merely one of each of these cards and no land, getting 10 mana per turn. I've played this form of magic for years now, oftentimes using custom cards, so I'm pretty experienced in balancing the otherwise unbalanced format!
Themes:
Balanced for DC-10
The 5 "Temptation" Cards
The 5 "Command" Cards
Broken characters are mono-color planeswalkers
Transcendant characters are colorless planeswalkers
Card/Creature Types:
Planeswalker: Post-Prestige/Concept Character
Legendary: Not Used (so clone effects will work and we have more creature types per line)
Samurai/Ninja: Shinigami
Demon: Hollow-Breed
Spirit: Shinigami or Hollow
Archer: Quincy
Human: Mortal
Disclaimer: The colors in magic are not black and white. Pun intended. The colors reflect the mechanics assigned to the cards to balance them for play. The mechanics help shape the story, not the colors. This is the only way to properly do top-down design. Pure vorthos design is bullshit. Plenty of times in Magic history Black is the good guys and White the bad guys; and I can point out other weird things. Any character with any amount of depth could probably properly be explained using ANY of the 26 color combinations in Magic! If you don't understand what half these terms mean, it'll take too long to explain.
